Mini Drill Press

I put some LEDs on this thing. I would have used white LEDs but I don't have any :c Oh well. I turned off all the lights and you can still see just fine. If anything this is just a prototype that I made to see how I'm going to make all my connections with the drill press. Also the only reason I did the LED attachments is because I got a new soldering iron today and wanted to test it out It doesn't get hot enough to melt the solder on an old computer's motherboard though so I can't get all those sexy capacitors

Edit: I'm thinking about building this for a power supply for my smaller motor. Why not right? I want to see how well it does at full power.

Maybe one day I'll do this, but, I found an old laptop charger of mine and it has the ability to change voltages and adapters for different laptops. The 18V setting has 4.2 amps and at that setting, I'm maxing out my motor for full performance. I had an old female power port thing from an old battery pack and one of the male adapters for this charger fits it nice and snug. Maybe about 1/2 cm sticks out but there still isn't a chance of electric shock because the other lead is covered. I just can't wait for my chucks to come in

Sure has been awhile, huh... Well, update time. I may be building this next week. Well, the frame anyways. I still have to wait for the chuck to arrive. Once I finish designing the 3D model at school in Autodesk Inventor then I should be allowed to start.

Also, remember that 12V motor controller I posted earlier? I made a breadboard layout. I'm not sure if there is a mistake or not. Anyone see one?

Well I think that us far out of my league .-. In other news that picture above is already out dated as I've changed the design already. The container is an old hand held balloon pump. I'll make a video on it later. I've broken 2/10 drill bits but luckily they were too large for my purpose anyways. It seems attempting to drill a material too hard will break the easily so for now the bits are strictly for wood and PCB only. Looks like the frame will have to wait though since I'm on spring break and not back to school until Monday. I also have to design some more things before I'm allowed to move on. So for now I'm stuck with my hand held drill.

Hard drive crashed on my laptop. Lost all the work I did on this. Minus a few minor, outdated things on my drop box.

Now I'll just have to redesign it in Inventor at school I'm almost done with my design modules so I should be able to build it... soon. I realize I've said this a lot but this time I think it's true...I hope...
