Hi I want to build a miÑi bike and was wondering if a honda gx35 engine would do the job? Thank you.

Well it is going to be a mini bike but for an adult speed doesn't have to be high just for cruising around. Any tips?

A GX35 is a small engine. If you are making a "small" minibike, with a light rider, it might work for you. You will also need to pick your gearing very carefully. For those of you who don't know what a GX35 is, here is a pic

zumo'...the (4-stroke) honda & robin-subaru 35's are popular on motorized bicycles, and either can propel an adult at about 25-28mph depending on conditions. if your project's not gonna be a pedal-assist, however, i think you'll be disappointed...neither will have enough power for an un-assisted takeoff unless geared way low, and then you'll see maybe 10mph top-end.

not to mention a drastically reduced life-span. but i did mention it, din't i?

$2 40's & classic rock go together sooo good :cheers2:

Each of those will get you around 4 - 6hp. 5hp B&S are very popular, mainly because they're so cheap.

Edit: Come to think of it, a 99cc predator may do the job
