i heard on facebook there was a massive scorpion coming to take us all
i mean one of the more far fetched theorys but i would like to have seen that

I like Y2K as the biggest failure of alleged amageddon. We threw out a gas grill at the end of the summer and a guy driving past grabbed it as we were hauling it to the curb. He was planning on distributing grilled food as the only source of food post Y2K. He had 30+ gas grills in sometime in October when he took ours. Did people really expect computers to crash and burn and the word shut down? Did they not realize that computers are just math machines that move sequenially through the digits?

This May 21st guy was actually predicting his OWN judgement day, but contrary to what you'd expect for someone of his age and mental stability, his ticker kept ticking.
