i dont know what model number or whatever it is... but theres a sticker i should go check out.

well the TC is not on it anymore and its got a clutch that has a max torque drum modified onto a hillard sprocket.

fixed the brakes.

well i got a throttle hooked up and rode it a while. then the chain broke at the master link. so ill remove it.

Looks good so far, do what you like, but I would recommend going to a TC verses a straight centrifugal clutch, I personally think you'll put allot of strain on that clutch with those tires, and would be wasting the potential power that thing would have to offer.

true, but i put the TC on my mini bike, and dont have enough money for a new one.

Looks okay to me.
It's a split type compression hub.
As long as he keeps his sprocket bolts and set screws tight, he'll be fine.

had a problem with the keystock. its not a normal key. its the same width but alot deeper. so i had to put in one normal key, and one half ground key ontop of it to keep the first key pressed down.

im debating welding the keystock into the axle. the axle is so crapped out anyways. (very bent) so when you go fast it bounces the kart haha.

I see, I was talking about the other side of the axle where all the grime is cleaned off, the color of the metal matches the dirt, and it looked like there was a huge chunk missing out of the hub. I looked closer this morning and see that is it just clean metal.

its surprisingly no heavier than a stock muffler pretty much.

its off a 13.5 briggs.

oh yeah the axle is bent ALOT now cause my friend hit a curb hard. ill get a video up of the tires spinning on the bench. theres about an inch of movement.

They do offer large sprockets so you can run chain drive on that veri-hub. They are offered through Azusa I believe. Check them out. It'll solve all your problems and should cost around 32.50.

wow it has been a while since i updated this.... a couple people have owned it after me and its seen better days... lol

got a new torque converter a year ago? i think.

every time its ridden it breaks

someone straightened out the axle

its been run into multiple trees and one of the tie rods was twisted around so bad that it wouldnt steer at all.. wheels were pointed like a triangle. and they kept riding it like that and blew the tires. but they still rode it after that.

the throttle is a ratchet strap

im helping him fix it up and started off by fixing the spindles. heated them up red hot and bent them back straight. i thought about reinforcing them but im too lazy.

also made a straight pipe today it looks nice. ill get pics up later

yeah i got real bad luck with these things

the kid who owns it now is a good friend. i fixed the spindles in school cause i had nothing better to do

as far as i know it needs new sprockets, theres no teeth on the drive sprocket

if it was mine id tear it down and rebuild it with a bike engine, bigger tires, more ground clearance, maybe some off road lights

would be a cool project! the tubing is pretty thin though. when you upgrade one thing it leads to another. might be better off starting from scratch.
