We started touring our Go-Kart Alley karts around promoting the show in 2014, even before we started filming. Everywhere we go we get 2 overwhelming responses. 1) Are they for sale? and 2) These are just like the go-kart I had as a kid!

Old school yard kart frames are getting harder to find because we're hoarding most of them so it became immediately apparent that someone needed to start reproducing them. When Go-Kart Alley and Go Power Sports began working together, we started talking about reproducing the Manco American Express chassis first.

We were super excited to get our first kit for beta testing! For our first build, we decided to pay tribute the go-kart that started it all, my childhood go-kart and the one many my age drooled over in the Sears Wishbook, the Orange Krate! Soon you will be able to have that brand new go-kart you always wanted, new again for the first time in over 30 years!

Just a thought, may be sell a fully welded version and a non-welded, that would at least double your customer market.

We are leaning that way but testing will determine the outcome. I'm hoping to offer fully welded Go-Kart Alley clones, powder coated with graphics applied

I'm 5'10" and I fit it but the kit is actually made longer so you can cut it back to any length you want. I cut off about 8" to make it like original factory stock length.

Current live axle kit (all parts you see here MINUS the frame kit and engine) runs $615. The kit with frame price will be determined and available real very soon.

I fully endorse this endeavor! This is the quintessential go kart style and to see it make a comeback, however successful or unsuccessful it may be, is just unheard of.

I prefer as close to original configuration and size as possible as it is a misnomer to conclude that the karts were the size they were in order to fit kids. Nothing could be further from the truth! You were supposed to have the steering wheel between your knees...

So, can anyone tell me what year(s) the Orange Krate was in the Sears Catalog? Was it Spring/Summer or Fall/Winter? I'd like to get buy a copy off eBay but I gotta make sure their are go-karts in it.
