Making a Go KArt 4wd?

Drive train out of a scrap import quad will get you most (if not all) of the parts you would need. Expand your horizons.

That's not true in any way...

The most difficult issue is finding/making hubs that drive & steer; once you nail that, the rest is (relatively) easy...

Still doesn't make it true. You don't see 4wd cars with 2 engines. Same principle

Unless you can find a gearbox i dont think you can, i guess you could just run a drive shaft up and down the axle, live axle in the back and shaft running to each wheel, but too complex to explain

It's not that complex, chain from clutch to J/S with three sprockets, one sprocket for clutch chain, the other two for both axles; simple really...

Driving the axles is not the issue; as I stated previously,

The most difficult issue is finding/making hubs that drive & steer...

Agreed, 4wd is relatively easy. Making it to where it can turn as well is the head scratcher, but it can be done.

Grab the drivetrain out of one of these ATV's, then lengthen the 1/2 axles to adapt to the increased width of a go-kart.

Yeah....I heard an 18 wheeler crashed hauling a load of ice...and people lined up to get it....and only the first ten people got ice!!!!

Scrub Radius Much?

Looks like the scrub radius on the front wheels is close to a foot - I'd hate to try and drive that thing over rough ground!
