Low speed kiddie kart? Or trike

I had an idea not sure how good or bad but if i got some hf 4 inch wheels (i know they suck but hear me out).
And used them for a low speed side walk kiddie kart that either, has a weed eater motor, or an electric motor and went about walking speed for my little brother. would it be useable it would be extra low budget of mabey 100$ish? and i do have extra wheels that are 6inch but they are way too big and need innertubes. I dont know if it would be ok with harbor freight wheels for just low speed so whadda ya guys think? I also have scrap tubing and other parts so i could in theory put my 3hp briggs on it and tune it WAY down but im not sure yet and i need opinions if i cant use hf wheels i probably wont do it because it would end up way to expensive.

I wouldn't go more that 5 mph on HF wheels, so I think walking pace should work ok.

I can either build a trike which would be way easier for me or a full go kart which i am not sure if my scrap pile is big enough yet for aswell

If you were going to build a trike, I'd use something like an electric bicycle wheel for the propulsion, the front section off a junk bike (for the head set, fork, handlebars and front brake), and then fab up the rear section with some support. A 26" parts bike would be preferable, since there is an abundance of electric wheels in that size.

Well i dont have a budget for that its probably gonna be gas or some crappy power wheels parts but i do have a weed eater motor and a 3hp briggs

For a five year old? Yea im gonna use an old bike and some scrap for a trike or make something else

Perhaps fixing up a broken power wheels would fit the bill? It's basically a 4mph electric go kart. They can be had for pretty cheap and usually just need a new battery.

Do you realize how small those things really are? If you cut the entire inside out of one, you might get it to cover the seating area, with the frame, axles, and engine protruding out the ends.

Not all of them are as small as the jeep the raptor will fit over a manco 405

well, if you have a 3hp Briggs in good running shape you could always try and build a Briggs rat rod on a radio flier wagon! I will that here and leave the rest to you!

Teehee, that's ACTUALLY what I'm doing, right down to the 3 HP flathead.
Although technically it's a Radio Super wagon tub....
