Is your seat way to narrow or just an inch or 2 in the hip area?

I stretched the sides of my G-man Superseat a couple inches wider by thoroughly heating one side at a time with a large hair dryer, then I slowly applied pressure with a hydraulic jack with wood wedged in-between the seat sides.

Then I simply left the jack in place until completely cool and did the same on the other side. It didn't seem to damage my seat at all, I weigh 235 and I'm on my second season racing that seat now...

It's an '04 Slack, and the hips dont come close to fitting. I think a friend will swap me seats he has an XL that he isnt using so I hope that fits:toetap05:
My last race seat was a 17 in Kirkey stock car seat.

Cool, I used to race dirt oval Street-stocks before I got into dirt-oval kart racing.

Your kart looks dang near brand new. It must not have been raced much.

Are you gonna race it, what track?

I raced 4 cyl FWD cars and Late Models, both dirt. Several tracks around Sandusky Ohio, Great Lakes Speedsports inn Belvue, Sandusky Speedway, Lil' Indy and Martinville Both near Attica oh. And Clyde Oh has a street race in sept I mat try if I can get some harder tires. Not gonna try to use my soft dirt tires on pavement. The engine has 1 race on it and the clutch, A Hillard Inferno has 0 races.

Cool, that's probably an Offset chassis made for (left turn only) oval racing. I assume that street race will have both right and left turns...

Offset/Oval chassis turn left way better that 'straight-rail' (Sprint-kart) chassis that are made for R/L-turn road racing.
But the problem you might run into is an Oval chassis usually wont turn right nearly as well as a Sprintkart.

Yea I know about the offset chassis, but from what I hear the street race is mostly lefts with 1 long sweeping right and some chicane.

I am gonna race dirt oval, 4 tracks real close. An I think there is a clone class at that street race, I just put the vid up to show the venue. That race is only once a year. It seems like so far the Kart guys are way more willing to help a new comer out than they guys at the stock car track I used to race at.

PS When I said I would be pitting with the former track champ that was at one of the oval tracks.

Yeah I agree, I found most kart racers were a lot more helpful than any form of car racers I've been around.

I have to agree with anderkart about Kart racers being more helpful. I've been involved in Drag Racing my whole life (Thanks Dad) and most of them running in any of the "Class" racing would rather shoot you in the face than tell you ANYTHING that might help you out. A perfect example of this is at the Kart track where I race, I was having problems getting the kart to turn in the middle, and another one of my competitors in the exact same class as me gave me a few suggestions. I did what he said, and ended up placing in front of him. After the race, he came over with a huge grin and told me I did a great job. Never had that happen in Drag Racing!

I havent' really seen both sides of this but the fact is cars cost so much and so much riding on sponsors that you cant help someone beat you, karting seems soo much more like you are just looking for raw competition and sometimes you have to help someone out to have a true competitor, when most of the vehicles are privately funded and fairly hobby level theres alot less to worry about at the end of the day, it allows you to be a "group of friends/family that race each other to get better" instead of a "group of people trying to justify their own next sponsor check"

I have several friends in drag racing (privately funded) and they are thick as thieves as far as lending parts and help to each other, probably because they are in the same car club outside of the drag track, but if you need an in thats probably the only way you will get it, join a car club and hang out with them and make friends and join a family that way so to speak.
