No offense, but my dad speaks of Africa as scammers. in my scam mail in Gmail, 3/4ths of it is Africa. Again, no offense.

Eric, no offence taken!

And yes, your dad is merely looking out for you and your best interests.
Being an adult you realise that most people only have their own agendas at heart, and most strangers should not be trusted.

I was actually being sarcastic about trading parts...
Look, the reality is that trading parts across two continents is not worth the logistics and headache!!

Ironically my inbox is constantly bombarded with the same scam mails.....clearly the senders dont do there own homework

Landuse(Paul) one of this websites moderators is from this dark continent as well...as he seem "not too shifty" ;)

There's a whole world out there and not all of its bad. It's hard to say a whole Continent is a scam cause of a few bad apple emails.

My dad is old school and says some pretty racist things sometimes and I correct him and have to remind him not be so closed minded.

At our 4wheel event there were some guys from South Africa. They were nice guys. Enjoyed spending the day with them. At first on the trails they were thinking they were over their heads and on too hard of a trail. I told them to just relax and listen to the spotters. We know these trails well. They did and had a blast. Hope they come back next year.

I told this to my dad and he asked how dark they were.

I laughed so hard. I said south Africa is mostly white people and they had a British or Australian sounding accent.

Dont jump to conclusions.

Thank you

Ok I think I follow.

Chancer is an African Prince in the US military who has been writing emails to a Syrian lady in Afghanistan in an attempt to scam her out of her dying husbands gold bars for in exchange for Torque Converter Parts. Spindle pays the shipping.

I am dying with laughter here too :D:D

Yes, there are a lot of scammers out there, and probably a lot of them come from Africa too, but believe me when i say we are not the worst.

Oh....whitetrashrocker, you say that most of South Africa is white. That is actually not true. Here is a quote from a well known website

"According to Census 2011, the country's population stands at 51.77-million, up from the census 2001 count of 44.8-million. Africans are in the majority, making up 79.2% of the population; coloured and white people each make up 8.9% of the total; and the Indian/Asian population 2.5%."

So you see, whites make up less than 10% of the population. Australia is different. There you have a majority of whites

NOT THAT IT MATTERS, I AM JUST STATING FACTS!!

Ok.... Have a issue with the 270cc honda 9hp engine.
Stripped most the engine, cleaned the carb, new spark plug, new oil, repaired the wiring.
Engine only runs with choke fully open.
Cheched the float, and the main jet, all seems in order and clean...
Any ideas?

check that carb again.. there are tiny "side air" passages that if clogged could cause this.
pilot air is the more likely cause if you checked your main nozzle,
but there's the breather for the float inside the venturi that could also be clogged.

the pilot screw is barely accessible... and unlikely removable without having to replace it. (the one with the black limiter cap)
but if you cut off the limiter cap with a sharp knife to peel it off you might be able to unscrew it and still reuse it.

run a single strand of some high gauge twisted wire through each and every tiny hole you find to be sure.

So steering with a big flat front tire is not as simple as it seems... :(

This less than 5" tail has been bothering me....
When turning.... the front wheel pivots on its edge leaning the frame to the opposite side, creating a awkward imbalance. I assume by reducing the tail, I'll eliminate this affect im hoping.

New front forks are in order....

New cross plates with an intended tail reduced to 3".
Thicker front forks, 32mm DOM tubing, 1"round bar drilled to suit 1/2" axle welded into tubing.

Come on guys I'm a kid, I listen to my father!
Hey Spindles, Just a word of advice.
That I'm only a kid, or gee, I'm only 14 crap really doesn't cut it.

It works pretty well when an adult says, hey, c'mon, he's only a stupid kid.
It just doesn't work so well when one uses it for themselves.

while that's cool and all.. it's of not much use for this built I'd say...

choppers with heavy rake tend to run skinny front wheels for a reason (and that reason is not for the looks!)

Something with a wide front wheel and for mainly offroad purpose should stay far away from ANY chopper advisory ;)

Look at crossers, even GP moto bikes... heck even a BMX bicycle will give a better hint than any chopper.

Well I would agree. But it is NOT just choppers.
That link describes the basic handling Characteristics of Motorcycles how and why Rake and trail affect handling.
It starts with the Basics: "Rake and Trail 101"
I hope someone will at least give it a look.

Blowing it off just cause it says "Chopper" does not make any sense.
Joe posted it For Poboy for his Mini bike and Joe had the info from his Drag mini bike.
So I think it applies.
