Naw.....I just take a half cup of dishwashing detergent and mix it with 16 oz. of water in 32 oz. cup......and go out at dusk.... and upchuck it to the now completely filled nest......they will drop like rocks...just as effective as gasoline...but doesn't kill the plants or mess up your paint... or stink or burn.....then I just remove the nest and seal it in a plastic bag. ....
However. ..When I do want to have fun.....carb cleaner and a bic lighter will drop em in style....but they will still be alive... (maybe) unlike a gas or soap bath that kills instantly. .....
The last thing I would do is p them off with that goofy spray crap that lets them fly a couple of hundred yards before dropping. .....

Lol most of them dropped, but what sent me running was they all were trying to fly at me while dying.
I came out of the house 30 seconds later to find one flying straight at me. I hit it with the spray and dropped it. The spray seems like it's made of mineral spirits(aka petroleum distillates) so it was flammable enough.

Minus the lighter, the non chlorinated type is a lot safer alternative to the poison, especially in areas where kids will be playing afterwards due to the fact that it doesn't linger. I've even used it inside the house (with plenty of ventilation).
man I'm glad that ended with you NOT flaming the side of your house in this drought! bye bye house! LOL
I have heard that the old "kill ants with gas" doesn't really work all that well. I dunno. Sure can be satisfying.

Just kartin' around....
I use a secret weapon.... I got a jug that I put old/bad gas in..... And any Styrofoam I can find.... Lots and lots and lots of Styrofoam..... After a while, the gas starts to get a little more syrup-E...... Makes it stick to what ever you fling it on......
I knock down the hives and run.... Then come back when coast it clear and pour the "syrup" on it, and light by throwing(or shooting) a lit match at it.... Burns for a good little bit..... Longer than just gas.......

Now....for fire ants....there are a couple of things out there....so I hope I'm not getting them mixed up. ....but....I believe it's Ortho...."Over and Out"..1/2 cup sprinkled around the mound....a gallon of water or so....and you can sit your but on the mound in half an hour......cheap too......
See.....I know how to get rid of Texas pests..... (unless they live in Austin or Houston. ....)......

I'm not sure that we have that here in the States. On the other hand, I've only raised hogs, cattle, cats & dogs. Which means it might be around, but I don't know what it is. Have any other names/ descriptions for it?

Ive honestly never seen a wasp nest but if I did I'd have a bee keepers suit on lmao and a grenade...
Does the UK not have wasps? Nasty buggers. I usually put on as many clothes as I can, get the insect spray out, spray the nest for as long as I can and then run like crazy inside. Pretty much like what the guy in the vid did. I just run faster.

I just killed a nest right above my front door. ....didn't notice it until this morning. ...wondered why I got swarmed a bit the other day........
I'm going to recommend that first time users use a 50/50 mix....that's instantaneous death......I just used a 1/3rd mix and they all still dropped like rocks but it took about 30 seconds for them to quit crawling for good...
I usually leave those guys alone if the nests are out of the way.....I would never climb a ladder to kill them. ....they won't bother you that far away from their nest...... they kill catapillers which eat crops....so they are beneficial insects......
I sometimes grow pink-eyed purple hull peas and wait until the plants are dead and dry before harvesting. .....at that point all the paper wasps are going crazy for the leaves for nest building. ....and are swarming all over them. ...and around me......I've never been stung while this is going on. ...they only sting in self-defense or to protect their nests.....
