I was also wondering if you are painting the rest. I think the hood looked really clean with the aluminum silverish color and the orange and black fau carcon fiber. The letters took away from that. Just my .02 Either way you have built a very very nice little ride.:thumbsup:

may change the lettering smaller size/different font maybe? but as far as paint no more paint will be used, except maybe clear coating after another go at polishing, but will be wrapping inner body panels, dash with the vinyl and maybe some sort of design along the sides of the body, thought about running the orange down side cutting it the same shape as panels , but 3-4'' smaller, give it a polished/2tone look been looking at jeep graphics trying to find something to suit. vinyl on hood was need to keep sun reflection down. so many designs on the net.

I hate to see you put anything on that beautiful shiny body! It's like covering up a beautiful girl with great curves with a canvas tarp. :mad2:

so I've been thinking on more graphics, but think stick with how it is for now, the only other vinyl I think it will get is down tail gate and along the side at the opening beside the seat, in some sort of fashion as it is in the pic, below, reason being the height of the seat and the way kids will be entering and exiting, that area may get to hot to the touch if left it plain, just leave a wrench out in the heat for 30 mins. and go grab it for sec, it will get hot!!! and a mini above the jeep emblem. other than that may add something later, but for now think that will be enough, just unsure of how much area and what style either somewhat how its drawn, or maybe half circle?

What engine do you have on your jeep? That must be getting pretty heavy. Maybe a v8 would be a good engine:idea2:.

so windshield frame made, needs some tweaking but will do its job nicely for the kids. and first times never a charm, with proto types and one offs. I know is little to big, and still needs to be angled more, but just wanted to add up date still busy at work, ready for the holidays to get some time off.

would windshield caulk bond enough to hold? and form gasket/mount letting it squish out then using guide to smooth over back side or one side bonded be enough? they do use this stuff to hold quarter glass in. but personally never used it so looking for suggestions or exact product to use.

I helped my father used 3M windshield urethane to glue flat glass in a 32 Ford windshield... sits in about a 3/8˝ deep & 1-1/2˝ wide channel. Clean up what squeezes out, and run a flat piece of rubber around the edges to hide the gap. We painted the channel black, so can't remember if the glue is clear or black (thinking it's black). Driven for about thirty years without any issues.
Sorry no close ups of windshield, but the top pic shows how it was done in 87' and still holding up. It was repainted in to 2000's, but windshield wasn't removed, just replaced the rubber around the edges.

My uncle used 3M rubber sealer on his 32 sedan, I believe it's like a putty glue that comes on a rolls of different thickness. Don't know how it's applied just remember him saying he had to use a heat gun to form it on the corners and soften it up. It looks good, but don't know about longevity as he just finish the car this summer.

3m window weld worked, has 1200 psi holding strength when cured. comes in caulking tube for caulk gun, only down side 25$ tube, lil high but priceless since it worked.
