Father's Day....

When you're a young 'un, still learning, trying to figure out this whole "World around You" thing, figuring out what to give for presents is really hard; you tend to give things that you would like to receive as a gift.

Giving a wrench, regardless of price and a few other things..... I think you might have the makings of a gear head on your hands!!!!

Now, that being said, some "LESS THAN INFORMED" people can't tell the difference between groups;.... The next question is, how much effort will it take for the uninformed to realise that there is a huge difference between Gear Head, and crackhead???.....

If you're already a member of this forum, then you've probably figured all that out by now.

Good luck with the elbow!!:cheers2::thumbsup::popcorn:

That Mini Bike looks like a German Africa Corps unit how about painting a palm tree on it like the German units that were in Africa in WW2?

Well, you could get away with it...

The Swastika was around for thousands of years &, literally, means "to be good" before it was bastardised by Hitler who rotated it 45*. If you flatten it out (rotate it back 45*) you can, maybe, get away with it...

LOL

I guess that depends on what part of the country you're in and how educated some folks are. I know that, you know that... but most don't... and will never believe it anyway.

Probably just stick with what I have for now. I live in Utah and I'm sure it'd cause a problem for the local predominant religion.

Update:

Been really busy so I've not been around much but things are getting back to normal.

Urban Defiance continues to just do her thing, racking up tick-marks as she goes. Nothing to report here.

With Sarge, I finished up a few things and she's taking on a personality as all the parts begin to get along with each other. Even though the motor is a tired old thing, there's still something left in it. It's sweet spot is about 4000 rpm. While not super fast, the Sarge is the one that gets all the looks. It seems to get a lot of military guys & patriotic folks all warm & fuzzy.

And, the minibike continues. I fixed a flat tire today! How about that eh?

Sorry about the "fish-eyed" pictures, I had to use the go-pro. My camera jumped ship a few days ago.

Update:

The last week has been a strange one for me and each night after work, I'd address one thing at a time. My goal, to waste time.

You see, today is the end of day 4 for me... I quit smoking.

So each day I do one thing to keep myself busy. The case of the minibike here has helped me along.

To add to the mayhem, my camera died. To an artist & photographer, this has sucked. My whole week sucked.

I did get some things done though.

The minibike is a roller now with the wheels functional, tubes patched and rolling gear in place. The motor has surprised me quite a bit. It's one of those motors that will actually start on the first pull, every time.

So for now, it's in the raw and next up is the chain. I think we'll need a tensioner here or possibly a 1 to 1 jackshaft. It's a good distance from the clutch to the rear sprocket so we'll see how it goes.

Next up is ole sarge. She's just getting run time now and gaining some weird popularity in the neihborhood. Kids are loving it when I drive by. It's neat.

A few pics of the little additions recently with my borrowed camera.

It's military, had to have some sort of antena. Front end got finished up and the new sprocket carrier is good.

More soon.

Thanks for looking.

Kelly
