Wondering if anyone would happen to know where to pickup kart bodies. I know there isn't a lot of racers, as far as i have seen anyhow, but doesn't hurt to ask. I need a new body for my racing kart, body on it know is cracked and battered to death.

Another question I am having is, why am i getting massive air bubbles in my fuel line? I have a tank thats under the steerinng wheel that runs a hose to a fuel pump which goes to the carb, but the line going into the carb is filling with air and not letting the fuel in. Could it be a gasket on the carb or the fuel line or the pump or all three? Wondering what I need to replace. I could replace all of the above for around $25 but why spend unnecessary money?

Thanks!

Are there any bubbles pre-pump, typically the line develops a pin hole or crack and that screws everything. If its after the pump the pump could be worn, is it a diaphragm type pump? Check all clamps for tightness, and any cracks in all of the fittings.

It's after the pump. I'm just gonna replace everything. It wouldn't take much at all. $5 fuel line 12$ pump and the rebuild kit with all gaskets 9$. I see air bubbles come from
The carb. Maybe it's just my fittings are loose. Idk not a huge problem.

For the black kart, KG Duo bodywork should work because it bolts up to the nerf bars. As for the red/gray kart, KG Unico bodywork is what you have and is what will work. Bodywork isn't cheap, but you can get a nice used set on ekartingnews. You can find one for sale or post something in the WTB section.

Thanks! I will definitely be looking for a new body. No idea why someone would cut a hole in the size of the body..well I was told it has a methanol motor at one time...could have been a hole for a starter i guess.

Would any other bodies work? Like the KG Evolution? Or any other body/brand...I was looking to buy something new and can't find the KG Duo, although it looks really nice.

For the Black kart, either breadbox bodywork like it has now, or the KG Duo bodywork. For the Red/Black kart, only KG Unico would work. If you post something in the WTB section in ekartingnews, I'm sure a lot of people will find some spare bodywork.

You are correct that hole was for the starter on a kt100 yamaha engine.

The hole could have also been used to start many types of motors, like a clone or animal.

Ah ok. Figured i was missing something lol. Plastic?

If so take some fiberglass mat and some plastic epoxy, then use the plastic epoxy the same way you would use fiberglass.

Ive repaired many plastic parts this way.

Both of my racekarts always developed bubbles in the fuel line between the pulse pump and carb too. They ran fine that way, its normal.

You'll find lots of different styles of side pods for sale in these google search links:
https://www.google.com/search?q=rac...w&ved=0CB0QsAQ#tbm=isch&q=race+kart+side+pods
https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=race kart side pods

Do each of your nerfbars have 2 side pod mounting brackets similar to the nerfbars this pic?

I'll have to check. Running back to my house today. But I know they have that "L" bracket. Not too sure if they have that entire top bar howeverY

And it's not so much bubbles as much as the entire line fills with air.

Those side pods from comet karts would work perfectly, wonder why it says they're black but they're blue in the picture...confusing
