Thanks for sharing, that bed sure turned out nice. You swapped the rear axle? Or did it grow tires :roflol:

The tires on the ol ford are Deestone D503 7.5-16 LT, Load E 10 Ply Bias , with tubes and flaps. All 6 delivered from Walmart lol

Got a lot more to do to finish bed, plus 6 inch springs , custom grill etc..it is my F250 Homestead edition truck

Eta...did they mount them? I haven't seen a tire cage in years :ack2:

Nice, no , nobody will touch those

I did them myself, no worries. Clamp on chuck, low pressure in compressor , get far away. Mint.

Thank you!

Yeah lock rings are way safer than true split rims, but most people only know them by the name "split rims" , younger folk

True split rims earned the nickname widowmaker indeed.

After bleeding all the brown fluid out the brakes, I got them kinda working enough. Master needs rebuilt.

I think I will step up the jackshaft sprocket a tooth or two, it could use some more load, turbos love load , and cvts haha

But It can bark the tires on pavement!

Could use a touch more fuel, maybe colder plugs.

Not bad for a junkyard bone stock 600+ hour kohler, copper head gaskets, gov delete. 12+ psi peak boost, sent

The turbo engine is fun, but a little uncontrollable around the yard, and I dont want to take it on long trips.

So I happened to grab a ch670 command 22hp, that was sittin outdoors ya know. In the open, no hood.

With no valve cover or carb. And it was a junkyard motor to start with.
I got it going with hi compression courage 23hp heads , belt sanded, running 10 to 1

I dont think it runs too bad, does not have the same pull as the turbo, but I can have fun this season while I work on the EFI.

Much needed upgrade! Picked up a twin barrel intake from midwest super cub , duel 24mm carb from a 25hp briggs commercial, 6 degree advance timing key, and a commercial dual element air box setup.

Also got a carb elbow on the way, from a fx691v 23.5hp Kawasaki. It will adapt the carb inlet to the air box hose.

Should have wayyyy better throttle response/ preform better overall.

Plus I wired the kart, it now has a start button, and kill switch! The battery even charges, that I upgraded to a larger glass mat powersport battery that puts out 325cca. Starting to get legit.

It all fits! True dual barrel, nikki carb, mounts and matches the manifold perfect. Just need to pick up some longer m6 studs. Much better. The airbox will be directly coupled to the carb elbow, with a bracket to mount it solid.

Looks awesome!!!

The kart is STILL going to be uncontrollable in the yard!! :D :D :D

Thank you! I finally got around to making the throttle and choke work, as there is no off the shelf parts from the typical kart stores to make this mash up work. I cut and modified the original throttle plate, as the carb throttle arm only had one hole, and the linkage needed to travel up and down. It is very smooth, and the choke works just as well. Its all legit now, you can sit in the seat, start it, and go, stop and steer! Much legits.

The response is much crisper, and I think it's faster than the turbo engine was :smiley_omg: , the power is more predictable/tamed, easier to hold a drift, good cause that's what it does most the time. The carb needs up jetted slightly fatter, so I was running it on some choke, Ill pick up a larger # drill set to get it dialed in right. Then much scoot.

So kind of curious, how comfortable is that seat? Been looking at seats like that one because they are cheaper than other seats like it.

Its,well , about as good as a hard plastic seat gets :p

The bolsters for your legs help keep you in the seat, when your sitting in it like a car, but for the kart, its not the best as you need to bend your legs. It's not unusable, but something to keep in mind, a thick chunk of foam on the bottom would help.

Quality sitter, would sit 8 /10

you should change steering wheels and get it more angle so you can drift it better

I like the bowtie, but drift machine :drool5:

Needed upgrade, stole the idea from an is4500 Ferris giant commercial zero turn with full suspension, powered by a briggs 35hp liquid cooled vanguard v-twin. Duel pulse pumps. I looked it up on a parts breakdown and ordered the 1/4in Y-fittings from briggs, and re-used used "briggs" high volume mikini pumps, same part #.

Did not want to use an electric pump, for like reasons. If ya wanna play along part # 841895 for fittings.

Soooo, how many engines have you put on this thing?

Only two :p , the 624cc turbo command that is resting, and the current 674cc N/A command. It had the wimpy single barrel intake, and later upgraded it to a fancy twin barrel piece.

I do have quite a few kohler twins and parts about.

Good news, Finally got the flywheel screen that has been on backorder from kohler for a month.
