Just read through this thread, epic kart!! Im gathering heaps of info and ideas from this site and your thread for my own build similar to this that i plan on beginning soon.*we would love some updates on any progress

Cheers Man, this place is awesome for info.

I've been soo busy with work now I'm self employed that I don't know when I'll get back on this. Meantime we built a gokart in 8hrs for a laugh the other day. It was fun doing it and doing it so quickly, but man, its awful!

I've got another goakrt frame and how a spare GSXR600 engine as well. But I want a kart for the ice over winter, so I think we'll be putting the spare XLR125 engine we have into it for simplicity and to keep it light.

Hopefully I'll update this thread asap!

Owl - have you got a build thread started yet?

Sounds like you guys are having some fun, i could only imagine driving an ice kart. Would probably spend my time on it going sideways.

Unfortunately i havent got a thread going as im inbetween jobs atm so have no funds to put into it. I have a frame that ive had since roughly 1997 that was used as a home made go kart for when i was little and i have stripped it down (due to it being too slow haha), but that's it. I plan on buying a crashed bike for the engine and other parts and am confident i have the skills and drive to get it done, hopefully by next summer :)

But until i find work it'll have to wait but will definitely make a thread, this build just makes me want to get onto it now!!
