I ... HATE waiting on parts!

But anyways i'm debating on this torque converter. i read the whole description and i am aware this is not a Comet brand. But check it out and the amazing price too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/GO-KART-TOR...800843?hash=item5b1fc187cb:g:RbMAAMXQTT9Ru8dN

Great price, huh? I thought so too. All it would need after That purchase is a bigger sprocket for the torque converter(16tooth) for high speed. Going for 50mph temporarily until i figure a way to make the steering not-so-sensitive unless im going on a straight away and then i will push for 55-60mph(highway use). Just imagining the happiness i would feel with all the power to the wheel. Then a live axle and then i would be complete after adding a jackshaft. .. or even 3. Yes, that's right... 3 jackshafts. The engine would be far and heavily upgraded by then it could definitely handle powering 3 jackshafts.and even then it would still do a wheelie :)

My Plans. And If They Can...It Will Go Through.

The first picture will be The Final JackShaft gear when i get done with it.
Do you like the idea of a gear stopper? It keeps the vehicle from rolling backwards or forwards. Even from being stolen. It will smoke your clutch or belts but at least it wouldn't be stolen. Big investment there.

The wheels are going to change soon. Real soon. Don't expect the rims to be the same for long. At least 1 will be different...temporarily until the other one arrives.

Come onnnn. 3 jackshafts. That will act as torque and speed multipliers once connected and geared properly for optimal top speed.

Do you even read. i gave examples of very logical things i can do. You should see the back door. lol . All i need is the metal-welding and cutting equipment and i will be set.

Gear stopper ? Ever seen a grown man pick up a go kart and throw in a truck. Or even lift the rear and wheelbarrow it away.

LoL! Well said. i can even pick that thing up with engine and wheels easily. WTH was i thinking. Funny you brought that up. Thanks for the laugh.

Yeah....well, your 3 jackshaft idea is just as ridiculous....more like a jack*** idea....

You could walk into a full fab shop....but with limited and incorrect knowledge....you might as well stick to wood and bicycle wheels.

I suggest you spend a little more time researching and less dreaming.

and a special gas tank with a special mix for extra combustion, ergh, i mean super fast acceleration. :) AHH ha ha ha. I should be labeled as The Mad Scientist of Gokarts.
A valve should be installed to open and close off the fume mixture. 2 small holes top of the tank to allow the combustible mix to flow. Some type of filter: recommended.

No backfiring-into-the-tank risks. Medium size hose. Valve should never be fully opened anyway.
Amazing performance but will generate heat very quickly. Short bursts only. Very short bursts at low speed.

Preferred use for Acceleration: after you gained about 60% of your traction for speed. 55% to spin the tires.

Dude, why not go with 5 jackshafts? I mean there's speed, and then there's SPEEEEED! Plus gear stopper looks like the best braking system ever devised. Totally jeals.

Yeah someone lend this guy some track/trail. He is building a lightning bolt trail rider that is like nothing you have ever seen or heard before. Also no waiting.

You're talking about a kart engine, right? It's a predator dude. Not exactly high end performance anything really.

Some type of filter: recommended. then you say "Don't need a fuel filter. Clean tank..Clean engine. "

Which is it? Filter or not?

I'm not buying this. Nope.

Stop typing... prove it. I've done 60 in a kart and I know exactly what will happen to you pretty soon. (I'm reminded of a wood kart someone had here with door hinges for steering.)

Take this pic for example. (thanks Shaun of DIYgk forums)
First off, the clutch would be replaced with a torque converter and mounted at an upwards-angle.The gears would "climb down" until it reaches the final gear. then upgrade the TC spring and gear.
That jackshaft is used to amplify either speed or torque(however you choose to gear it). Add 1 more and you should definitely see the difference in performance if the engine can handle the power needed. Logic? or is there a blind person in here that doesnt want to see it done?
