and a special gas tank with a special mix for extra combustion, ergh, i mean super fast acceleration. :) AHH ha ha ha. I should be labeled as The Mad Scientist of Gokarts.
A valve should be installed to open and close off the fume mixture. 2 small holes top of the tank to allow the combustible mix to flow. Some type of filter: recommended.

No backfiring-into-the-tank risks. Medium size hose. Valve should never be fully opened anyway.
Amazing performance but will generate heat very quickly. Short bursts only. Very short bursts at low speed.

Preferred use for Acceleration: after you gained about 60% of your traction for speed. 55% to spin the tires.

You really are smoking something, aren't you. Sheesh

Take this pic for example. (thanks Shaun of DIYgk forums)
First off, the clutch would be replaced with a torque converter and mounted at an upwards-angle.The gears would "climb down" until it reaches the final gear. then upgrade the TC spring and gear.
That jackshaft is used to amplify either speed or torque(however you choose to gear it). Add 1 more and you should definitely see the difference in performance if the engine can handle the power needed. Logic? or is there a blind person in here that doesnt want to see it done?

Why the h$ll do you want more than one jackshaft. You can do whatever needs to be done with one jackshaft...just get the right sprockets!!!

Why not just build it out of wood and bicycle wheels, that way the thief will get killed, and should they try to prosecute for manslaughter, you have all these posts your lawyer can submit as proof you are incompetent to stand trial because of mental illness.

Well That is Good to now.

I have a better idea. Buy a wrecked GSXR or Honda Shadow engine, make a mount, and do it that way. You'll have all you need and then some. Plus all you'd have to worry about is mounting, shifting, clutch, and fuel. Your idea presents no logic and with a LOT more people saying it's not gonna work than there are, it's not going to. Wise Word of Advice: If a well practiced builder/engineer tells you it's not gonna work, it's not. Period.

Don't make Kirk Lazerus mad... please.

Just pre-prepping for a fiberglass body.Work is nowhere near done yet. Still need to widen the rear wheel stance and put it on bearings for a live axle. The engine and transmission gears will share one compartment most people will know as the trunk which is why you see a hole for functional side vents.

As a ASE Certified owner of a body shop it's severely insulting you think this is how it's done. Under NO circumstances could you be any more wrong in any form of manner thinking that's how plans are done. You do it with sheet metal, measuring, and NOT LIKE AN UTTERLY TOTALLY USELESS WASTE OF A HUMAN FORM. I don't know if you're acting act absolutely F'ed up just to get negative attention or you are really this stupid, but you're really getting on people's nerves. Stop it. Just... stop it.

Also another thing...

WHAT made you think you had any say in that whatsoever? You're not a moderator or will ever have the chance to be one. Also trash talking other builds is gonna end you up on the street due to a ban hammer to the face. Take my advice and SMARTEN UP!

It's not an opinion. It's a FACT. I'm surprised anyone could even stand to be around you, let alone know you and your disreputable attitude towards logic and reason which you obviously have no shred of a trace of either. I'm far from being a kid. 20 years under my belt, Over 7 Certs, Hundreds of customers who stand by me, and a successful business to PROVE I'M RIGHT. You've obviously proven you don't know a single ****ing thing about any of this. You will fail without a shadow of a doubt, and when you do we're gonna laugh our a$$es off and drink our victory beers to your complete failure at life.

Oh wait... you don't have one. I forgot.

Dude, why not go with 5 jackshafts? I mean there's speed, and then there's SPEEEEED! Plus gear stopper looks like the best braking system ever devised. Totally jeals.

Am I the only one who thought of that yahoo from Top Gear? "SPEEEED AND POWER!"

This thread is going to be locked until the OP starts a build thread when the parts arrive. It is also being too hot to continue

Freerunner, please start that thread when you actually start working on the kart
