I'll be sure to post pics
Well I do not think it's like owning a Lambo..
it's nowhere near comparable if you ask me!
Let's try to get a car perspective shall we...
it's like owning a Brutus... oh you don't know Brutus I assume:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJn7LHE83cc
while it is possible to get it going and still stay safe.. you can go faster and quicker in a much safer way with a much smaller engine (say for example a Lamborghini)
take the 32hp gx390 mini stock engine for example that is in BirdFanatics mini stock car..
that on a kart like his can be quite a blast.. and since everything is in proportion it can be considered "safe fun".. go full throttle no problem.
A 120hp two stroke
-which if you ask me is much more violent than a 120hp four stroke like a mildly throttled cbr900 for example-
is something completely different.. the kart that should be build around that ..
let's keep a car comparision shalll we;
and let's be gentle and take 1968 safety standards (not todays)
so what you'd need to build would be equally well made and safe as a 1969 911 Porsche (110hp @6500 rpm)
if you can do that... go ahead!
if not.. go away!
Yes GiXXer Karts (99.5% power 0.5% control...) to me the guys that chop racekarts into gixxers are insane in a bad way.. that is pointless useless and still a better idea than to use a 120hp two stroke
oh btw I'd make a bet and nearly every GiXXer could be beaten on the tack with a standard race compliant 250cc shifter kart!
let me quote Pirelli: "Power is NOTHING without control!"
I repeat: please don't.
if you insist: please stay safe!
Just keep in mind: testosterone gives bad advice

Back to the original question;
Correct me if i'm wrong here- not good with jet ski engines.
Aren't they cooled by water going through the WHOLE motor? I'm pretty sure water goes in, through the motor to cool, and back out. I think its pretty impossible to convert it to land, and if it is possible, it would cost a ton of money and time. You can buy a 500cc streetbike engine pretty easily with the money from that jet ski motor. It would be easier and cheaper. I understand the "I have what i have" mindset, but it's just simply not worth it.![]()
Maybe you can use a long hosepipe to get water in while you are karting. Your range would be limited by the length of the hose though
Go kart tether ball anyone?

Daily life lacks the thrills need to stimulate the Brain racing and going fast does. 120hp < horse power, that lacks control is useless as some one said. Darwin had his plants bugs and birds. Others need much more, and some can give advice on the dangers of stepping outside little boxes we live in . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2cadiB6-NM < must be on your stupid list. the older we the dumber we are .http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...2G4QiSvpkoArRDQ&bvm=bv.74894050,d.cGE&cad=rja...as if dragracing and control belongs to the same sentence.
Karting is about steering.. dragracing not too much AFAIK
And you would want a parachute on a kart just to get it to slow down in the next quarter mile...
that could be quite impractical for a daily driver, don't you think?
Of course you can mount a 350hp turbocharged engine to a kart and call it a day;
but is that something you would tell Average Joe to do? on a DIY forum?
Me, I wouldn't!
And while thrill is nice, it's never safe (that's why it is thrilling in the first place)
Like welding without eyeprotection.. of course it could be done.. but should you??
Oh btw.. that 120hp two stroke engine will eat the CRF450 alive
it's not MY mini stock, it's Cameron's...
but since there's a race class just for those, I think that should be plenty of fun for starters
Anyways... whoever wants a Darwin Award is free to shoot for it;
but I wouldn't want to be involved in any advice given to do so.
So I'll just step back... nevermind me eating my popcorn

Snowmobile engines are pretty cool. Unique, fast and cheap. And if you have the tools to reuse the cvt that works great too. And if not then you make the 30mm-1inch shaft like a member here made quite long ago.
And yes, forgot to add in a couple lol's up there, and you would be right about the water going back in.
There was a guy in mini sized T-Bucket that used to come to are local car-shows . That had a Merc-V6 250hp engine in it . I don't remember seeing any garden hose trailing behind the T
