Also, I know this may sound barbaric but I need to know about something lol. My motor that I want to use is a Honda GX390, now the Kart came with motor mounts that allow multiple mounting locations, but being such a large engine, it is too wide for it to sit on the mounts and fit between the tire and the seat including the shaft lenght. If the Shaft wasnt so long Id have no issues with it mounting.... Is there a way to shorten the shaft? Can i just cut it? like maybe a machine shop use a band saw? or me with my sawzall??? lol, I mean, Id like for this thing to go fast, but Id like to be able to sit on it too lol....

The problem with cutting the PTO shaft is you then need to drill & tap the centre, which won't be easy seeing the shaft is hardened...

What's hitting the wheel, the carb? If so, they make 15* mounts that will allow the carb to clear above the wheel.

Btw, You might want scan 4cycle.com's misc. sales page. Someone there was selling out and had MCP calipers complete for ~$40.

Link please? and yes, its either the carb/air cleaner adapter in one spot, or the Pull cord shroud.... But Id like to seen one in use to decide if I can still use this, cause I will also need a clutch that has a #40 chain I believe.... a dirt bike engine would be sweet on this thing....

It's not a carb mount, I apologize for the misunderstanding. Rather, I'm talking about a 15* motor mount.

Something you may look into (and this I do not know for sure if they make for the Honda big block; but they do for other engines) is a curved carb mount. They turn the carb rear facing; the aftermarket air filters won't pass the plane of the pull start in width.

Hmm, I wonder if I can find that motor mount for the GX390... still wondering if I should just go with a 125cc...

If I got long enough hardware, couldnt I run a spacer to achieve the same thing? like a bolt sleeve?
