Wait is "linerally" even a word? sorry:backtotopic:

My phone thought it was.....I woke up this morning....and believe it or not....thought about that....I think the word I was looking for was linearly?

Sometimes the "auto-suggest" helps the old feeble mind....sometimes it just makes it easier to be stupid....and yeah....:backtotopic:

Dude! nice job. cute pics. This little kart came out great. Even after all the criticism about crooked front bars (that were not) and the front end alignment. and the trick camera.
Looks like she loves it and she is the only opinion that matters.
Hey what was your final gear ratio and top speed.

Hey what was your final gear ratio and top speed.
Final ratio using the jackshaft is 10:32, 10:54. or 1:17.28
Top speed is a very manageable 7.5mph. The gearing allows The Kid to roast the single drive tire from a standstill. I've ordered some 6" rims and will install some tiller tires that I already have.

She likes to crank it in real tight around the cones and tree that make up our course and that leads to the drive tire just spinning on the grass... hopefully the 6" tiller tire will increase the top speed a bit and prevent the getting stuck. I taught her a few hand signals and when she gets stuck I have to give her the 'kill' signal or she will sit there and slam the throttle on and off trying to get un-stuck. (That's the kind of stuff that leads to us having to wash her kart... mud EVERYWHERE!)

You're still insinuating viewing pics over the internet with your 'calibrated eye' is more accurate than my Harbor Freight carpenter square and in-person measurement? Tsk, tsk.

No...I'm not trying to put you or your kart down. I believe I've. seen flaws, I'm a perfectionist by nature...I'm saying I don't think I was wrong.....BUT...what I think doesn't mean squat....if you are satisfied with your build ....and ESPECIALLY...if it works and your daughter is happy....thats all that matters....

You seem to have a problem about who is right or wrong....I don't care....I already apologized and said I was out of line....

So....hey...I'm totally wrong on EVERYTHING....I don't care...it doesn't bother me....you are 100% correct on every point....I'm an idiot....

We're just here to help....and the point is...all we can do is try....and it is your right to pick and choose which information applies....is believable....and correct....and as long as you are happy with your finished project....I don't think you will find a member here that will try to step on that.....

We only want that....and want you to have the best possible outcome on your endeavour....which was why I was critical early on.....

I don't know why you want to keep. a chip on your shoulder....but frankly my dear....I don't give a hoot.....

Hey
How did you run your throttle cable? All the way around the engine? I just bought this 79cc motor and the throttle is kinda backwards.

Yep, I looped it around the back. Here are the pictures I snapped - a few are redundant.

I made that little bracket from a piece of "gate corner reinforcement" that I had leftover from building a fence. (EDIT: maybe the gate corner piece was too big and that is a "picture frame corner"? ahh ****, it came from the bin of unused ****, we all have one of those right? I made three or four before I got one I liked.)

Thanks for the throttle pics. I like them tires! Especially on the pink Kart. They kinda say "yeah I'm a girl, so what I came to play in the mud"
