Is this a manco or??

I had a feeling this was maybe a ken bar kart until I went to pick it up. Don't worry, i just got it home and first agenda is getting rid of you know what! After getting it home I'm thinking it may be a manco, but I'm still up in the air, were my first thoughts correct? If it's manco I'm building it for my niece and nephew to go with the manco 400 I'm freshening ipso they can chase each other around and have a spot for the youngest, if Ken bar or something else "special" it will stay, thanks in advance guys!

I just built another shed, and set up am awning just to keep them all safe! Still have two in the garage and my kids two seater is in the front yard, I have frames everywhere now! This one make 7 at home, and one I still need to pick up from my father in law. 10 is a nice round number! I may be getting a motovox minibike as well as what looked like a vintage Coleman minibike too, plus the trike project! Keeping myself busy, idle hands are the devils playground afterall!

I traded some subwoofers for it, I've had them probably 15 years so not much! I parked it with the manco fox2 and there are very few similarities in build process, so I'm leaning away from manco myself, the pedals look like Ken bar, but it's been "bubba'd" a ton, the seat is adjustable with the removal of two bolts, but I see no way it ever had padding attached, and the linkage for throttle and brake are spring loaded rods, the throttle attaches to a cable under the seat at the end of the rod, also a spring loaded rod. It reminds me a lot of the old streaker, but I'm not 100% felling it at the same time, but has the American built feel to it.

The 605 is close, but mine has twin bars next to the seat, I'll go get a better picture.

I don't know if these bars next to the seat were a match to that model, otherwise I'd agree, it's kartco. I do believe those pedals have been switched around too.

I kinda thought Carter maybe, the pedals look Ken-Bar to me as well, but the foot brace on the right side really made me think Carter but there is a couple of other things that make me think Ken-Bar still...just hard to say as there are so many Ken-Bar models I haven't seen. And I don't follow the Carter karts either so there you go.

Yeah, the way the front and back of the frame are bent up makes me think of my carter. And carter and ken-bar pedals aren't that far apart, though these are bent more like the carter (I have a carter and a ken-bar). And the way the steering system is setup looks almost exactly like my carter. In my opinion, everything except the bottom of the seat, the steering wheel, the steering spindles and the things on the side of the frame, everything screams carter.

I agree it looks like carter, but the only model I've seen a picture of that matches the bars by the seat is a live axle kart, had an animal name that I can't recall now, frame was nearly identical, but mine is a dead axle. It will probably sit for a while because I picked up another small frame dingo the next day, and it's almost finished already, but having issues with a short shaft for the old comet 30 it came with, the tecumseh was pretty rough, so I put a champion 6.5 honda clone on it.

I hope the champion isn't from one of their generators, there are no clutches that I know of for tapered shafts. But the Tecumsehs aren't really that bad of a base, they just have horrible carburetors. I actually have a 10yo briggs intec that is in way worse condition than my 30 ish year old tecumseh. And I would definitely clean up that comet and use it again.

The comet is staying for sure. The champion was from a generator, but I've already ground it to a 3/4 diameter and keyed it. A regular cc would fit, but the shaft isn't long enough for the comet, I may be fabricating some way of making the shaft longer. The engine was free, so I can experiment a little with it.
