well,
so i was looking at pullstarts for my new bike and i was wondering if there is something missing off the flywheel. I bought it and the lad said that the pullstart casing was missing. There is two threaded holes in the flywheel and i dont know what they are for. I have never worked with these engines before and im unsure about their setup.

Could anyone give me some advice.

Thanks

have you figured out what kind of bike it is? or rather the motor? i just looked at some, but it seems the motor you have is the same one you asked about on ebay. i have no idea which one it is or where to start looking for info

the easy way is to find a similar bike, and see if it has the same engine. sometimes the engine will have numbers stamped into it like on the gy6 engines. they normally have a 3 letter code QMB or something similar, that tells you the size of the engine. gy6 are fairly recognizable though. did you check out the link in the my previous post? it looks similar and appears to have a rear carbed engine as well. on the site, they sell o.e. and performance parts.

i haven't been into one to give you ins and outs on them, but from what i have seen, it seems that that is the correct pull starter for your engine. being that it comes with the pawl, if it is the right one, it should get you going. there may still be pieces needed, i really couldn't say.

Yea thats a 47cc engine, beware, those flywheel are VERY hard to pull off! They get stuck and can be a *****. IS the pocket bike a full fairing or half fairing? if its half you probably have a caglarri

according to what i have seen, all you need is the recoil assembly and the bolts to secure it to the engine.

I would replace it, looks like the previous owner tried to solder/weld to it.

lol, i would just buy that Racing flywheel, it was the biggest performance on my pocket bike, i had a race carb and that flywheel spun the motor WAY faster.
