Is my motor really a stroker motor?

I'm needing some knowledge and I Know there is plenty to learn from you guys. Ok I have a 6.5hp predator hemi 212 factory and I have a 5hp honda gx 140 factory. I took the gx140 head and rods and put on the predator 212 just taking a wild guess and it runs great. Seems like a good bit more all around power. By doing this does it make it a so called stroker motor? And any clue about how much more power it gave it? And last question if I put the predator head and rods on the gx 140 Honda will it also have a increase in power and a stroker motor also?


Just starting to learn and experiment with small engines. All help with these questions will be truly appreciated.

A stroker is when you increase the "stroke" of the engine, so you would need to change the distance the piston moves, aka a different crankshaft to increase the amount of travel. Any additional power you are seeing is because you have a smaller head on a larger engine.

No, you got lucky the piston did not hit the head or the piston skirt did not hit the crankshaft. But otherwise I agree with Dingocat.

Good thing I wasn't there making that swap for you. I don't get massive infusions of blind luck like you did, if I'd done it every part of the rotating assembly would have slammed together and exploded that motor.
