Installing spring kits?

How the :censored: do you put these :censored: ing springs in the block? I have something like this:



And yes, I have a spring compressor, but I still have NO IDEA how to put them in :( I've tried alotta methods too...

That's the problem. The little keepers "stick" together. They don't wanna seperate! :(

EDIT - Well they DO seperate, but when I'm pushing the valve up, they don't want to seperate. I have to manually seperate them outside...

exactly. put the springs in there. then then the cap and compress. then with them seperated put the keepers around the valve where the cap is. then release compressor

But there just isn't enough room to put it in. It's like 1/4" of space left.

Oh, I thought they were doubles from the firt pic. I'm looking to put a new cam and springs in one of my flatties too. How much were thos, what kind are they, how many lbs are they, and where did you get them (sorrry, I like to ask questions :D)

Well, I knew most likely that I wouldn't be able to weld the lifter area, since I don't have a MIG, and I doubt many people do in this city.

Those single springs were $14, $7 shipping. Remember, only go for what you need. The heavier, the more power it sucks, and the faster it'll makes your lobes go flat...

Class: Outlaw Stock & Controlled Stock
Valve Lift: Up To .325"
Seat: 20-25 lbs
Nose: 45-50 lbs

Where I got mai springs :) Tis a secret :D
