Got an e-mail tellin me that 4 wheeled vehicles will not be allowed at the show Ive been planning to go to at the Rockingham International drag strip... grrrr! I sent them a vid/pics and they seemed to like Lo-T's look... but according to them(and I agree) let 1... gotta let em all... so I dont wanna be the start of a bad trend... so, guess it's time to look up some Myrtle Beach scheduled shows... or start one of my own... hmmm. I do have a few places that I 'could' hold it at... and I 'do' know of the majority of kart enthusiasts shops. Could drop a stack of fliers. Have it for 2-6 wheeled vehicles <30hp, 93 octane tops(no meth/alcoh), ... have a track for racing and a field for showing....?

Naw, itll never happen. Id rather comb a hair, fallen off the rump of a yeti, from 'down-under', w/ my tongue, in the middle of summer, after running a 100 meter sprint, in pink, unlaced steel toe boots n BDU's, while drinking a wine cured in a pine box, mixed w/ some diet Coke found in a bottle, left in the back of a redneck's truck, from last year, as Im sawing off my arm w/ a rusty spoon, being bathed in a shower of ignited alcohol, meanwhile, Im traveling at 30,000' in a C-130 that 'just' lost its wings, over Afghanistan, after colliding w/ an UFO, sitting next to my mother in law(not in first/business-class seating)... than startup something of 'that' magnitude!

... yes... Im a non-published author of afew gore ridden stories... lol

I used a universal car alarm /hood light switch that grounds when the pedal moves away from the switch . Single pin . The ground is connected to a relay and and relay feeds battery power to the brake light circuit . It's a

Tyty... I can say there isnt an inch on her that I aint worked on/upgraded... except the frontend. Yea, Ive all but perfected the Achermann improv... but never the caster/camber. I KNOW the purpose of them... just never gave it 'SEVERE' thought... until the past few days.

So... here we go... tomorrow I remedy that:thumbsup:. Today was post #16... so start there...

Id say shes done... for now...

OK... I can most honestly say Im DONE! I have pretty much run outta things to upgrade any further (atm). So... to summarize Lo-T (will be updating my 'finished' build history)...

Manco "Red Fox" fused rearend w/ a Carter... upgraded axle to 1" w/ disk brakes. Bench seat replaced and fused w/ a "Lancer" seat frame and steering moved to center. Frontend, also fused from same "Lancer". Steering Ackermann/caster/camber, proper. Honda GX200 modded to 10-11hp, w/ a TAV2 geared at a 5:1 ratio, on 16" wheels... boasting a whopping 50-55mph. Her stance is 2.5" ground clearance w/ a 48" rear wheel base, and a 42" front wheel base. She weighs ~160lbs (unmounted).

Please watch/like/comment/subscribe... whatever you feel like doing:thumbsup:

Today I added a belt/chain guard, to the mix. I had a dirt clod land in my driven and got caught under the belt, it made a god awful grinding sand noise. So to prevent/hinder that from happening again...(hopefully).

Im also adding an 'emergency' brake line/system to my current braking(adding another brake cable/connection, powered by hand)... just gotta work out the geometry for leverage. I have already ran/mounted the cable and the handle. The handle came off of a toilet bowl flusher(novelty item). Its ~6"~7" and is made of aluminum. I drilled n tapped a hole for a bolt underneath, to act as the throw arm. I am planning on making a JS type setup to compensate the lack of leverage, from such a short handle.

Opinions wanted...

I got this fuel tank from my neighbor. NO rust or anything wrong w/ it except the cap lock release button is missing(still locks... just need to replace the release).

It has 2 pitcocks(which I will be reversing/swapping to point back and have access to the lever(s)).

... and this is how she would sit...

Well... by popular demand... Im gonna be mounting the tank! (after I stretch the front out ~6"... infront of the seat). Itll set in the same position on the steering wheel... but will nolonger be resting on the front bumper end.

I went to Northern tool today and got a set of 16" fenders. I was gonna put em on the rear... but decided(after placement) they looked better/were needed more on the front. They will be stationary as well as removable, for more reasons than 'just' changing the tire/wheel. Im gonna be leaving enough gap, so that if I were to go larger in wheel size... I can w/out refabbing the fender mounts.

... disregard the paint cans... they just held the fenders down for the pics.

**** I was going to say paint the good stripe red but you already painted the tank . Maybe add a red stripe down the middle and be wider at the front of the nose and swoop inward to match the seat up with the seat stripe . Fenders are awesome idea

Yea... I thought bout that also(the stripe). I probably will do something along the lines that you are speaking.

Today I got several things done... I got the frame stretched a whopping 4.5" and reinforced :wai:. Mounted the tank(removable). I also finished up the E-brake mechanism, as well as refabbed the steering(both the spindles and wheel arm). Still gotta finish welding the underside nextweek but here's what I got done today...

I still have to shorten the tie-rods, fab a plate to set over the tie-rods to use as a foot rest for the pedals, move the pitcocks to the lowest point on the new tank, run fuel line, grind popcorned welds, paint... n probably afew other lil things... but thatll be Pt.2...

Well... in the custom society of taking shoes off before entering a home... one would want shoes that are easy to remove/put on... we dont ALL live in a barn... :lolgoku:
