Looks like old school spot weld drills to me. More bodywork stuff.

Counter bore tool. Used when you dont want the head of a socket head cap screw above the surface. but those are old style. now days the bit
drills both holes at once.

How bout these things? Those bits, and these things were in a machinist tool box given to me. Along with about 150 various taps, looking for suggestions for storage

Ok, what are these things for? Not your average C clamp...

They are clamps to hold down a cap on the bed of a truck.

Well, yes... I did find that kind... but couldnt seem to find what I have.
I guess both ends of the C are threaded, do they just expect you to use those crappy threads?? I suppose it would be ok to hold a light up...

No cobblers in this family that I know of. Perhaps the reason ive never seen it in use.

I've seen one once before, long time ago... Had asked the same question...
An old logger I had visited once, who collected tools had one in his shop on the wall. He had also bought all of my grandfather's coopers tools from my granny after he died.
Odd fellow... Got to have a hobby though...
