I think my welder is dieing...dam junk...

u should get a australian welder we have 2 ones almost 20 years old other 10 years been use heaps and they cost about $1000 for the mig and $500 for the arc try cleaning them out to stop dust from geting stuck and the thing overheats. :)

Flexible, one my school's 3 MM140's ($1000 each) and the MM252 ($3000), none have gun motors except the aluminum spool guns. It's not just HF cutting corners.

hmm... it just seems kinda odd that none of them would...

Oh well, I think I am going to (try for today... might be kinda hard) exchange/upgrade it to the 110amp.. Its back to not holding an arc well, when it does its acting funny. Bottom line, its not worth the headache...

The only reason for a spool gun is when MIG welding aluminum. Otherwise, a spool gun is just a PITA.

if you don't need it, having drive motors and stuff at the gun is just more weight/bulk to try and squeeze in that tough corner.

At the school i weld m teacher said they have a bunch of spool guns but they are all in storage some arent even opened, because she said they dont work that well.

Fml... the breaker is 20amp... the thing draws 24.5... So now I guess I have to have an electrician come in... bugger me...

if your spending that just get the 120 while its on sale. wish my parents would have let me get a 230v outlet

Nah... I dont need that much welder... plus I am going to spend the other 60 on wiring this dam thing... atleast... probably a 1 infront of that...
