I don’t know much about the frame but I do have a new predator 212cc and have a stage 2 predator212.

This seems legit! And it was only 40 bucks

Looks like a concession kart(a.k.a Arrive and Drive), since it is very heavily built. A real race kart wouldn't be that reinforced unless it has been butchered and frankensteined a LOT.
For $40, though, I think that is a pretty solid(literally) basis for a new project. I'd slap the stage 2 on there.

It has shock absorbers in front and back. It also has electrical hookups for a electric start and it also has a compartment for a battery and it’s not heavy at all. I was able to pick up the whole frame and carry it onto my porch. I’m going to take better pics of it. It also has a slotted brake disc. It also has brake lights if I get a frame with lights. The guy actually use to race this cart. I just don’t know how to go about making this cart great! It also has a sprocket already and this thing is low to the ground. jtspeeddemon I see you help a lot of people. What do you make of all the electrical stuff

I don't know much about wiring and stuff, but I'd try to find an e-start Honda GX200 for that frame.
As far as making it great, I'd just start simple with a seat, brakes, bolt on the engine, etc. and just keep chippin' away at it.
If you can figure out how to hook up the brake lights, that would be neat.
Functional Artist and itsid should be able to help with wiring.

If my eyes aren't fooling me it's a Honda mini moto
(made for children between 4 & 6 or so, 10 at best)

very little chance that thing fits any person taller than 4ft. maybe 4.5ft
as much of a chance you can even FIT a full size gx-clone to it (that includes the predator)
a 5horse flathead barely fits (upright cylinder helps)

Yup it is small but I’m going to stretch it out with some steel pipes but after that what is the next step? I’m basically doing this for a little thrill for my son

I'm all about karts and making something go...you should've let that pass and kept focusing on your murray. That little thing is a death trap. It was never designed for any kind of power. The frame doesn't look like it will carry any sort of load into a turn under speed. The front end doesn't look strong enough at all. It looks too much like a kiddie toy...

I will do exactly what you suggested it seems like that will be the exact setup I want. Any ideas on the sprocket and clutch? And what is a roll hoop? And consider that seatbelt gone

Believe he means a simple hoop shaped roll bar over the head area. I'm still toying with ratios myself, all depends on your end purposes, some are torquey but slower top end, some accelerate slowly but have higher top end, the one I have for my kids is the latter, takes 3-4 blocks, wind at your back, and slight downhill, but it will top out at least 40mph with a 4hp engine governed. Personally unless I'm doing the driving I'd rather a lower top end, but it will have to wait.

See the picture. It's the half moon shaped piece the gas tank is attached to.
I actually plan to remove mine because it's ugly, and this kart is rare (only less than 5 on the entire internet that I know of), and it just generally deserves better.
But yes, no seatbelts unless there is a full roll cage.

I would stick with the good old fast 5hp briggs just because they are easy to mod and are hard to destroy not to mention the briggs will most definitely be safe and reliable and will more than likely outlast your frame.

A Briggs and Stratton was on my first kart from when I was 5 I'm now 16-17 and it still runs even after sitting for months on end.

Btw a roll hoop is an excellent idea but I would still at least include a lap belt so the kid does not fall out in the case of a crash.

Actually the lap belt is a bad idea.
A roll hoop will provide some protection, but not enough in a serious high speed roll.
Unless you have a sturdy full roll cage, seat belts are a bad idea.
That way the driver gets thrown from the kart instead of getting crushed.

On another note, yes, Briggs are very reliable! My poor Briggs has been all messed up in the carburetor, and has endured overly lean and overly rich conditions and always starts like a champ within one or two pulls!
Enough to put the Predators to shame!

Now that you say that JTspeed deamon I agree and wouldn't widening the frame and or using wider wheels help prevent roll risk of course you'd then have to compensate for steering with camber and suspension tuning.
