where could I go to get the head shaved and done over and how much would it cost?

It is pretty costly, but it depends on where you go. Call around local machine shops and hotrod shops, they might be able to do it for you. Another mod that helps alot is a cam and heavier springs. I wouldn't go modding your engine that much until you have a billet aluminum rod and flywheel.
