Hopefully it'll all make sense once I get the rest of the parts and get it put together. That oil pump is just the power retarder part, the reason for the bearings is to let the pump float so that torque can be measured from it when I load the motor with it.
This is all highly theoretical, but I think it should work. Version 1.0 will just measure torque, after I get my flathead paid for I should be able to afford the software and load cell to make proper graphs on a computer, but the minibike motor is priority #1 at the moment so I'm not coming off of another $600 just yet, plus I want to make sure it works before I do.
