No cutting the frame on this one. This is the look I am going for. Pretty simple really. I should be able to get pretty close. I like the no fender look for they cost a arm and a leg for good ones. I willo pop rivet the body sheet metal the the cage I make.

Thanks for that tip. I think I make a fake one better that I can buy. It would be cool to make it so it pans on a mount some how. A BAR would be pretty easy to make a fake one. fun as well. The gun would only be on for like parades and stuff.

I could make this BAR with some sheet metal and some rivits. The handle and barrel would be pretty easy.

about the airsoft thing, wallmart in my area sells pretty cheap begginer-medium grade airsoft guns. if you buy one online, you probably want electric, or gas, or whatever. these are usually semi-full auto. when it says spring that means that for each shot you will have to cock it.

If you wanted something a little more intimidating than an airsoft gun, you could always build a potato cannon, paint it olive drab, and mount it on top. I've got several designs floating around. PVC can get really ornate when you work with a heat gun.

Check out ultimatespudgun.com if you wanna see some fine looking cannons. If it's going into a parade, a few dry fires of a cannon would really please the crowd. You would just have to make sure there are no vegetables in the area

I do like the airsoft idea, though, like you said bighead, a prop gun would most likely be cheaper and longer lasting.

I couldn't find one quickly on Red Wolf Airsoft, which is arguably the most extensive airsoft site available, but i did find these if you want WWII look. If Red Wolf doesn't have it, they can either make it or find it.
