I bought Another Odyssey FL250 (Military Build)

Saw this add on CL for an Ody for $200. I was able to drive away with it for $100. It is a basket case roller as you can see. It has a very bad hack job 440cc sled conversion. I posted a pic to give you an idea of how bad the this hack job is. Notice how the just cut the roll bar to make room for the water hose? They must not know that you can get 90 degree elbows. I am pretty happy with the deal. With this roller and the parts I bought a few days ago. I can make and restore 2 complete Odys. No good engines though. So I will have to rebuild those. Which is okay for my project starting price is so low.

Some of you might remember the Miltary DS80 I restored for my little brother. (Pics Below). He is to big for this bike now. So this Ody will be his. I am going to make it a Miltary themed Ody with a Patotoe gun on the roll cage. Camo netting and amo boxes. Roof rack and what ever else I can think of. I willo not use the 440 engine. It will basicaly put all back to stock drive componets.

Any ideas Miltary wise I can make this ody look cool. evenb considered a fake real looking machine gun on top. My little brother will ride it in parades a few times a year.

The whole thing is dodgy. Half the bumper is missing as well. LOL

Yah going to paint it miltary green. With camo netting. Was thinking a patotoe gun but not sure if thats legal or not. And even if it would go with the military theme. I just do not want to paint it green. I want to add some touches like camo boxes for storage. Little Military things like that. Like a large miltary radio attenna that doubles for the dune flag.

Any other ideas????


I get all my part from searching CL daily. I spend a good hour everyday just going thru my search words. If I skip a day it even takes longer. To save time search daily for you see all the new listing in your search word. I have about 4 words and combos that find Ody parts. It not as easy as it looks. For Honda has the Odyssey and Pilots cars. You just search Odyysey and pages of van will pop up. Just like go karts gokarts go carts and gocarts. If you did not search each of thos words. Chances are that you are missing stuff on CL. On weekends I look two to three times a day. Just be the first caller and have the cash. I find a lot of Odyssey listed as dune buggies on CL. Sellers sometimes do not even know they are hondas so the FL250 only brings up half of them. No kart ody or mini bike mini rail goes on my local CL that I do not see. When the $100 deals come up I just jump on them. Spring cleaning time is the best time of year to buy projects. everybody and the brother is doing spring cleaning right now. It is the same every year.

I would love that. This is the kind of them I would like. My looking to spend maybe $200 for something that looks like that. Fake or real.

Looks spendy. How much are those. Sorry I have not looked into airsoft yet. After dinner i will get on it. Any other Military ideas?

I was thinking a roof rack with a spare tire. Or a spare tire on the back down bars to keep the lbs low to the ground. What do you think? Maybe a patoto gun mortor launcher made to look military.

I would even consider paint ball. I would also like to fins a old miltary pilot helmet. Like the chopper guys used. My wish list is a replica or wood replica of a Browning BAR Machine Gun. I could probably make somthing pretty cool as well.

T-man, You should try to get your hands on an Ody. Great toys and you can mosh them all day. Crazy that I now have 6 Odys.

I would kill for one. I had an acquaintance with one a while back, just sitting there. I don't know the specifics, but I did try....
You just can't find them around here. Pity- I'd love to score one. Could you imagine one'a those with the VF750 I'm about to lay hands on? The frontend would never touch down!

Anyhooo- Military theme? I like it, a lot! Can't wait to see!

big , I'm with toystory. I would LOVE to have one. I remember when I first saw one , it was at a HD dealreship ... and man it was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I wanted one SOOOOOO bad.

Okay this seems to be te standard type miltary buggy. So I am going to go for this look. The side cages will be perfect. I will not make the top cage for the rear rider. Odys are to small for all that. But I will add a tire on a roof rack of some sort. No rear rider. There will be a rack and a tire mount in that spot. Also a long antenna that is the flag whip.

u could cut and lenthen the frame. or are u wanting the ody to be stock.
