Fowler, can I edit it? I looked around but couldn't find it. I did find the other thread for ages but it wasn't a poll I wanted a nice graph and percentages. Breaking it down more would have made sense in retrospect, but I think it's too late. Anyways, we can see that a large majority of us, so far, are under 20, which is pretty young to be building karts and blogging daily about it.

It's still better than a name with a number under it. Don't tell anyone.

Lol... that 12-19 should be broken up more... 12-14. 15-17, as well as 18-19..

Kieran... if they're that young, then they shouldn't be building karts... I wouldnt trust a kid with a welder, a grinder(they can kick pretty bad..), or other tools... just too dam dangerous.. Let alone the driving aspect...

Thats good.. unless you have a father(ie: myself) that cannot cut a piece of wood square with a MITRE SAW, let alone tack weld up a buggy...

Me... I learn everything myself... Yes, I have nearly taken my eye out, and darn near cut my leg off when the circular saw started to kick... But alas, I am still, currently, in one piece...

The good thing about welding is, that you get a sun tan all year round... only paying the price of consumables(Ie 1 welding stick..)

It's not very anonymous when it tells you who voted for what :roflol:. Next time tick the anonymous poll box.

Thanks

Hayden

I really though I did because I wanted to make it anonymous. Maybe it didn't work or maybe it got unchecked but I did look for it and select it.

I just get t shirt sleeves burn when I weld a lot. Does anyone else just weld in a t shirt, no gloves, shorts/jeans, and running shoes? (whatever I wear to school)

I do. I even wear loose skate shoes, so the toung of the shoe funnels sparks to my foot. I have a nice welding jacket that I got from Northern a while ago, but its too hot in the summer for it. If I do ever wear gloves, there just some goat skin work gloves that offer little protection from heat.
