how far is to far to drive to work

used to, i'd say why would you wanna do that, (i used to live in houston). now i hear it more and more often. crazy ain't it? people who buy their own gas should take it off on their taxes hunh?

pay and benefits for sure. but if they have a choice machine shop, with privileges it might be worth it;)

i remember being in the mil, people would live off base/ship for whatever reason. they would have to be up at 3 or 4 to be to work for a 0630 muster. i like sleep way too much. for me, they had better pay extremely well

It all depends on if the pay is worth it, if you can make similar pay somewhere closer i wouldnt even consider it. 1 hour is a wicked long drive.

when i work in pearland, tx, it is a 3 hour drive (~180 miles). we stay the week and comeback on the weekends

Also consider what traffic will be like in the morning. That will make it a longer drive too. I live in South Jersey and I have friend's with parents that travel to NYC every day for work.

i have an 1hr 10 minute bus journey to school, every day (exept weekdats and hols:))
if the pay is good, and you like the look of the job, i would go 4 it!

this exchange student from germany was saying he had to ride a train for three hours one way to school everyday. i'd definitely dropout. no time for anything else.

college is about an hour away. I commute everyday. worst part was driving the 2500HD before i got a car
