heat it up and smash it with a hammer? have it between 2 metal plates have a tiger torch or somthing on it wait till it gets red hot then run it over in a car

:iagree: just heat it up with a torch and if you dont have a torch go old fashion make a fire place the tube insde till it gets red hot take it out and hit it with a sledge hammer

lol have you guys ever tried running something over? its easier said then done. If your gonna try somthing like that use a jack under the axle to crush it. Or just use the sledge hammer. Donezo

Yeah... Run it over... Then the free end flies up and smacks your car... Good plan!
Heat the end cherry red with a torch, lay it on an anvil or similar chunk of steel, give it a few taps with a hammer, reheat, flip over, repeat. Won't take too much. Sledgehammer's a little crazy. A welder's hammer or even a smooth face framing hammer will be fine, you don't need to pound the thing clear thru to China. Only flatten just as much as you need (maybe an inch). Anything more, and you're guaranteed they'll deflect under stress. Clean the ends up with a grinder, drill your holes, Voila!

Do you have the option of welding? Zapping tabs onto the tube ends would work out a lot nicer.

it was mentioned sandiwiching it between 2 thick steel plates, then driving over it. thatll work. and common sense says SLOWLY!! Id personally use the sledge or vice method

I very much doubt that would yield satisfactory results. You certainly wouldn't have much control over the process...
Again- Torch, cherry, hammer, anvil
That is unless y'all would PREFER to randomly plow over things hoping for some sort of loosely controlled mangling.:ack2:

Who- Me? No hate. None. I promise. But when the right way to do something is so easy and accessible, why funk around with the wrong way?
