Does anyone know the idle and or max rpm of a stock Honda Gx200?
this may help, http://www.honda-engines.com/engines/gx200.htm
p.s. you guys seen what hondas up-to? http://www.honda-engines.com/engines/igx390.htm
Blaz, why would you set a higher idle on a TC-equipped engine?
Im not a fan of complicated electronics and drive-by-wire. It just means its harder and more expensive to fix when it breaks. Wonder how much they cost compared to the GX.
reminds me of cars now a-days compared to 20yrs ago.
For our purposes this is on customer karts typically where they only start the kart once a month and need the idle higher to stay running. The karts can idle higher due to a higher engagement, below 2200 it should only be creeping unless someone has fooled with the tension or springs. On a kart that just uses a centrifugal chain drive clutch the clutch can easily be fully engaged at this point and trying to run across the parking lot at 2200 rpm so we stay below 1800.
1400 is scary low for idle, I understand Honda makes an amazing engine and has the ability to idle at this point but i'd rather have it sitting at 1700.
