I think I see a problem with that setup; the static position is disengaged & you need to actuate it to engage which means you'd need to hold the clutch in to drive & release it to stop

This is actually a great setup for young children and other folks that do not know how to operate a manual clutch. If this were tied into a pedal, it's as simple as push the pedal to go. It could also be interconnected to the throttle so that as you begin to push the pedal, the engine throttles up and then the clutch begins to engage. Back off the pedal, and the clutch disengages and the engine throttles down.

Well I've. Put it together with the wheels last night and found a major design flaw lol basically the engine and anything else I put on it is being held to the axle via the casing of the drive unit I've made which is not good (oops! ).so think its time for mk3! Would make a nice static engine though

To be honest iv only used normal tooling, jig saw, nail gun, belt sander and a pillar drill, suppose working in a woodshop with an abundance of top grade ply helps too lol. But anyway I'm working on mk3 now so will be posting some more pics soon,
The problem I had with mk 2 was I built it from the engine down when I should of built it from the axle up, but hay learn from your mistakes I suppose.
