just straight pipe it if its a 4 stroke. do you need to mix the gas/oil for the engine? if so its a 2 stroke, or if there is a plastic tank that you need to fill with 2 stroke oil, it is also a 2 stroke.

my dad verified that its a 4 stroke, but right now it just has two pipes into one coming out of the engine that has the muffler broken off, could i weld a lawnmower muffler onto the end? or would it restrict the airflow too much?

Those are the 2-4HP mufflers for Briggs engines (or 5HP, both look the same, but have different sizes)...

I'd get a RLV muffler or steal something off a car :)

i was just throwin that mower muffler option out there bc the muffler is cheap but i guess it was kinda a dumb idea but i would like somethin relatively quiet, are straight pipes on that thing going to be really loud? how will it compare to the engine with its stock muffler?

Straight pipe will yes, be loud. Eh... Imagine a stock... Toyota... and then a Ferrari.

Lol oscar, I've seen a Ferrari straight piped. Not loud. I'd say the rattly 4 bangers on the rev limitor on cruise nights at the track are louder.
