sweet build.
generator engine? you might need to think about the shaft, they are usually tapered, and may need work.

The shaft is tapered. I'm either going to get it turned down, or just find a 7/8" bore clutch. As-is, we have 3" of straight shaft to mount it to. I would cut a keyway as well.

I hope you don't weld too close to the gas tank as I seen in your one picture, your arm would look mild compared to the burns you could recieve if you blow your gas tank up.

I like the wheelbarrow front wheel.

Was the only thing we could find at the time, unfortunately. The carburetor has since started giving us a lot of problems, so we've hardly ridden it lately anyway. I can hardly justify buying a new one, as the 105 degree weather isn't exactly conducive to fun riding.

The bike has been done for a few months. Thanks anyway though.

Well, after letting the bike sit in a shed for the last 7 or 8 months, due to carburetor issues, I finally dug it out and rebuilt the carb!

Got everything put back together, pulled the starter, and what do you know, it started first pull!! :wai:

I had my friend(the one that helped build it) shoot some more video footage of this thing! I had forgotten just how much fun it was! Hope you enjoy the video!

We finally pulled the bike out again, and did some more work on it! My friend and I had been considering building a go-kart with a frame I'd been given, but after assessing what would be needed to get it going, we decided to do some modifications to our bike instead as a cheaper alternative!:D

The bike was fun, but we wanted to create something that would be a bit more stable than it was. We decided to get a longer axle and convert it into a trike! Here are a few pics of the build!

The rear end after removing the old axle.

Everything in place - mocked up.

The rear end all finished up!

Side view!

Other side!

So far we've gotten about 2 hours of run time on it and it's looking great!! It is a LOT more stable, and the braking is quite a bit better because we have 2 rear tires now instead of just one.

I'm currently editing a video of a few runs with the new configuration, and will be posting it shortly! Let us know what you guys think!

It's called a TRIke cause it has 2 wheels buddy, use 'em. :p But I love it, I want one. I would probably opt with a wider rear end if I ever built one.

Interesting, I'm also building a trike. Hopefully mine won't handle in such an... Entertaining way, haha.

Looking good, the engine sounds really nice, sounds like a far bigger machine than it is!

It is a lot more stable. The video showed us purposely shifting our weight while turning the front tire to tip it. Under normal driving circumstances, and especially if you lean the right way, it will actually turn without a hint of tipping. The solid rear axle makes sharp, low speed turns a bit of a chore, but the engine has enough power to push it through just fine.

Thanks! Yeah, our ghetto plumbing pipe exhaust actually ended up sounding really good for its size!
