that's right! in the hardest county to get a job in the usa (fact as of 2 years ago) jeeper joel has acquired a new welding job!... things were looking grim as i couldn't even get hired delivering pizzas lol.... it has it's pro's and con's, but that's ok, everywhere does... now things can now get back to normal around here, studying for CWI test shall resume... vancart will get completed. A break from the grind was nice, but when the $ ran out and had to get food stamps, it was a slight hit to my pride, not like i did anything wrong, previous employer was a jackass, and the reasons for letting me go were bs, i work hard, i'm always on time, and it's really rare i miss a day, hopefully this place will value those things about me, anyway feels dang good to be back on the job!

3 years?! try pizza delivery, the key is to bring a copy of dmv driving record printout to turn in with app, that was my next step, a friend of mine works 30 or so hrs a week, brings home almost 500$/week with tips... i used to deliver pizza in the past, you can make decent $ if you get good shifts... thanks everybody! feeling waaay better! even though there was a bunch more stuff i could have gotten done without spending $ on vancart, it felt like it wasn't right, like i needed to be focusing on getting by, not working on projects, now it's time to finish it!

no maybe out there but out here in the av is the ghetto slums my dad was one and is back to doing it again my mom was one and is now a driving instructor and makes 15$ an hour my dad makes 8 an hour and barely makes it by in a mobile home my mom worked for pizza hut for 4 years then dominos for 6 my dad worked for pizza hut for 4 dominos for 3 and vince's for 2 it takes a toll on your car as well + gas and the fact that its dangerous and it is not legal to carry any form of protection here (while on the job ) I wanted to become a firefighter or a cop (and for a long time i wanted to join the army ) then learned what was actually like there and how there treated now its either Us coast guard ,Los angeles county Sheriff ,Or los angeles county fire department (thy see good action during summer me and you both know how bad it gets here (The Crown valley fire was the worst ) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGW2IREdWp8

I had to move 800km (500miles)to get my job
Straight out of school

Made enough money to pay rent fuel and food
Now i work 1000 km from my home in the desert in 45*c (113*f) heat fixing mining gear
Not going to pretend i ever struggled

But the jobs are out there
Its what u are willing to do to get one

as my dad always says GETTING A JOB IS A NUMBERS GAME, more apps out=more chances to get a job, more cast=more catch... like say you're at the bar trying to get a girl to go home with you, you ask 1 girl, she slaps you... but if you ask 10 girls, 9 will probably slap you, but then that 10th one just might... ... 50 in 3 years? not even 2 apps a month! not downing on you, but trying to help you out... if you went out and put in 3-5 apps a day you'd have a job in no time, and just because it's not the best job ever brings us to the other thing he always says (usually when i'm complaining about wanting to quit a job lol) IT'S ALWAYS EASIER TO GET A JOB WHEN YOU HAVE A JOB... like how many girls hit on you when you're in a relationship, then the second you're single there's none to be found... ... take any job you can get, then see what else comes along... just don't get the first job pregnant! ... food for thought, employers aren't going to come looking for you, especially if they don't know you, or that you're looking for work... now where'd that 10th girl go.....

no i only started turning in them when i turned 18 July 7th Because i tried and tried and then got smart and said who wants to hire a minor to work (chances are not as good as a adult) so i started applying again when i turned 18 not even a call or an email only this

an email isn't nearly as good as applying in person, you want to be a person to them, not a message, best advice is to go to these places (i know some places such as taco **** only accept online apps these days) but not all are like that, go in person, fill out the app and turn it in at the same time (having all your info written down and with you makes this easy) ask if the manager, or person in charge is there, or when they might be in so you can meet them and do so, the biggest bit of advice is DON'T GIVE UP! just leaving an app there, or meeting them and waiting/hoping for them to call is not enough, you must keep going back to check in "hello, i turned in an application and was wondering if the position is still available, and if i might be able to schedule an interview"... do this until they say the position is filed, or go away, or both, it shows that you're willing to do what it takes to work, following up on all your apps will land many more jobs, just think, there's probably a stack of apps back there, why should your app be the one they hire? just a piece of paper... make yourself known to them, you'll find a job

Stores these days and with today's tech do not do in store apps
I am going to try one last ditch effort to move to az with my father come fall.He says he has a job lined up for me out there it will give me a start somewhere .I have not given up just yet ( i have tried calling the manager and saying hey i turned in an app (two days after i do it ) and i wanted to know if you got a chance to review it my name is cameron ect ect.

here's another idea: if you really can't find work run a pennysaver/classified ad, "student does yardwork" me and friends did this in high school, we charged 12/hr per person, this was good $ then, still is, might even charge 15$/hr these days, anyway grab dad's weedeater, mower, rake, all that good stuff, and go out and make some $-- spring and summer are almost here, that's when there's money to be made, when i did it me and one friend i usually worked with were working 10 hr days, 120$ cash in hand each every night, we had killer summers! weedeating in star thistle over our heads, we were unstoppable, i had to do a similar thing a couple years ago when i couldn't find work, but i was bidding jobs, you make more that way, but always one time gigs, hourly customers keep calling you back, might even schedule you to come by regularly
