You can always "give it a reach around" and operate the throttle with your arm behind the seat.
Keep the Briggs and fix it up!

Thank you for your helpful response. I am looking around to find out who manufactured it.Very interesting. There are two of these "Eagle II" karts now on the forum. I have never heard of them before and don't know the brand or manufacturer's name but they may be fairly common in real life.

If you can find words on the kart that says "Inc." or "Co." let us know what else it says.

Otherwise, this video should show how it is on most Honda and clone engines. You can pull the throttle lever from two different directions, actually.. (from the rear and from the side near the carburetor)
Looks like an "Eagle II" kart.
No idea who manufactured it. In my mind it literally makes no difference, there are not parts specifically available for it anymore. But most if not all available generic parts can be made to substitute or replace what it came with.
spend the $137 and get 7 hp with electric start
Anything is possible. But is it theseable to do so. Would say yes. Had a briggs 305 cc genotator engine with a tapered shaft milled it down cut a key slot. After about four or five hrs a 3/4 “ clutch fit tight with little vibration using a grinder and a dremil tool and a 3/4” rench. Yes if you think ig will work anything is possible.Hey everyone, I joined this forum searching for advice on how to engine swap a Briggs and Stratton Fun Power gokart with a GX160 from a pressure washer. Can it be done? Let's keep this forum alive.
Not everyone would take the time to hand-fit a clutch that precisely — definitely shows that with enough determination (and the right tools), you can make almost anything work. Curious how it’s holding up after extended use?Anything is possible. But is it theseable to do so. Would say yes. Haven’t had any issues with the clutch or the shaft. Little to no vibrations from it. Wasn’t to much trouble removing the clutch and changing to a tourque converter on a new cart i made. Used that clutch for about six months. Not everyone would take the time to hand-fit a clutch that precisely — definitely shows that with enough determination (and the right tools), you can make almost anything work. Here is the go-kart in question.
