And I might be able to get some more money but tops 80-90£

better; not quite there yet if you ask me :(

Okay, just try the following:
make yourself a list of all the parts you still need.
then, find any version of such part at ebay (sold items only)
and get the average of the second most expensive and the second least expensive part
to note that down right next to your item.

for every ten bucks you have to spend, add ONE more for a missing nut or bolt or new welding wire or the like.

when your through your list and you feel confident that you noted EVERYTHING down
double that amount!
(yes.. I'm sorry... even the BEST forget something, have to pay for shipping, or a service fee ... or just have to buy somethign TWICE to have it right)

That amount is about the absolute minimum you should have.

If that is out of reach, you should forget about it for now I'm afraid.

the ONLY other option left is trade time for money!
Go dumpster diving, find a scrap yard to find what's missing,
ask friends to donate parts or a helping hand...
that way you can get said amount down by a bit.

WELL...I've caused enough trouble this week.

LOL The label on the can says worms, yet you still open it! (just joking)

I won't be a naysayer... I've seen many builders of old cars do magic with some crazy budgets, but most of them had awesome resources (tools) and most of all amazing talent with them!

Just hope you don't cut enough corners that will lead to yourself getting hurt. Build something safe... Just collect as many parts as you can, work with what you have, and save up money to keep adding to it. Don't worry about the total budget now. Put the project on hold when it gets to that point, then start back at it when you have more parts and/or money.

The finish project will be nicer and something worth keeping, not to mention safer for you.

Pefect! I think we were assuming the donor vehicle had disc brakes; is that not the case?

We have a saying around here (I don't recall who coined it)

Fast, reliable, cheap; pick two

We just don't want to see you get hurt...
