Hi guys im going to try and make a 600cc go kart as my first and was wondering how to do my clutch and gears as I am using a motobike engine

Best bet is to start small and work your way up.
Without knowing the basics, this is a darn near impossible task.

Well my dad got 2 bandit 600s so im taking an engine off of him as the previous owner crashed it and bet the faring but I have a mechanic to help me as well

Any experiance in building with metal and such?

Just kinda going over the usual questions as we get these build questions alot, but people find out there is a bunch of work for which they arent equipped nor have the knowledge to complete.

Try to salvage as much as you can from the bike. You will need to brakes and the sprockets for sure, aswell as the wiring harness. Dont hack into the bike untill you have a good plan as to what your going to do.
How damaged is the bike? do you have a pic?

Where I am its 12:08 pm but other than the forks and bars and thats about it nothing I was gonna use scrub brakes

I have and idea of using bike brake leavers and car pedals but I dont know if that will work

Dont use scrub brakes with that power, need to use the bikes brakes or similar disc brakes.

Woild I be able to weld the old disc onto the new axel?

No, you are going to need a hub that will fit the chosen axle, aswell as the sprocket, in short... dont weld anything to the axle. Most likely you will need to move or replace something later and now wont be able to cause it is there permanently...

Unless your really lucky and have absolutely everything you need already, 50$(I know your in England, I dont have that money symbol on this comp) isnt going to get you much if not anything.

Id maybe budget on 500-1000$ at least.

A pedal can be made to fit with the bike levers, but there is a whole host of other things Id worry about first.
Frame is going to be a challenge. Any suspension planned?
