If you have a Harbor Freight Flux Core welder, you may have noticed a 10lb wire spool won't fit. I built this modification that allows you to use a 10lb spool.
Parts:
8" long 2x4
two 4" long 2x4s
six 3" deck screws
8" of 1 1/4" PVC
Drinking Straw
JB Weld
I drilled a 1/4" hole through the rear panel, and JB'ed in a piece of a straw for less friction. Then I built the spool holder, it's very simple. I had to grease the PVC where the spool touched because it stuck easily. I also made the whole assembly the same width as the welder to allow some type of enclosure to be built around it to keep the wire away from the elements.
LOL that's a pretty kick *** rug isn't it?
