I've got it bolted to the buggy mounting plate. I'm going to eat some lunch and then have at it.
First start should be attempted by 12:30 my time. And I will get a video.

As far as break in...
I don't have a clutch or TC or this engine. So for now, it will be a no load break in.
20 minutes at RPM as low as I can get it to idle. Then about 3 hrs of constantly changing the RPMs. 1/4 - 3/4 throttle maybe?

Ordered a tach, but it won't get here for a few weeks.

I just hope it starts and runs with this jetting.

OK this is the first time I got it to start and stay running for a bit. It wasn't the first pull. LOL
It is a few minutes of me messing with the idle setting and the idle air screw.
Pay no attention to the garbage welding on my Buggy Jackshaft mount.

This me blipping the throttle a bit once I got it idling kinda OK.
It died, then I changed the oil. It ran for about 25 minutes before I changed the oil.
Now I've got to get ready for work.

Love the sound of it muahaha

It sound pretty mean with headphones. LOL My computer speakers and my tv speakers are both garbage.

I do like the headphones that came with the iPhone tho.
Too bad they don't have a normal headphone jack anymore.

I'm going to try a smaller idle jet today. 38 instead of the 40 that was in there yesterday. Hopefully everybody at my friend's house is away or awake. Or they are about to be. LOL

So frustrating.

Doesn't want to start today.
I checked to make sure I had spark. I checked to make sure I had fuel in the bowl.

I ever tell you how much I hate small engines.

I'm going to take the plug out and the air filter off for a bit and sit in a corner and think about what I've done.

And like I said, it was broken it the box. It only made 6.5 HP and turned 3600 RPM.

Now it makes no HP and turns as fast as I can pull the cord.

She doesn't care. She just wants water.

The top plate and 2 degree key should be here today.

The estimated delivery date for the flywheel was today, but just got a tracking number today. Shipping Label was just created as it seems.

Doesn't really matter cause IT Doesn't RUN! I'll bring some carb cleaner tomorrow and see if it starts up on that.

I don't know what else to do. I will clean the carb if it starts on carb cleaner. If not, then Hmmm

If it's a China coil, it could have been fried from the more powerful flywheel magnet. Check the easy stuff first.

I'm gonna second KF.
When you add compression the spark has a hard time making the jump. Hence the need for big coils and msd ignition systems on hot rots and dual Magneto's on top fuel.

But that might not be your problem but just some more info for you to gab on.:cheers2:

I'm still using the stock flywheel for meow. Ambush took a while to ship the billet flywheel. I pulled the plug, put the wire back on, laid it next to the head stud and pulled the cord. I had spark. Not sure how else to check the ignition.

But you are right, ARC uses like 0.060" Air Gap

My last hemi had slightly higher compression and did fine with the stock coil.

I'll try the stock spark plug too.

I'm hoping the carb came dirty (maybe with some loose metal burrs). Hoping a cleaning will fix it. I pulled the valve cover off and checked to make sure everything looked good. The exhaust lash opened up a bit, but that shouldn't keep it from starting???
