ok, i have a go kart but i kind of wrecked it and i bent the solid steel axle

i need to know if i should just get a new frame or get something to heat up the axle hot enought to bend it back.
if im gonna heat it up, whatever i use needs to be under 100$.

the axle is 1" thick i think.

unless you have seriously good equipment you wont have a hope of bending it back to shape, If you did bend it back into shape chances are that it will still be out of shape.

Even if you think it is only bent a little bit, When it gets up to speed you will notice it

Any chance of just getting a new axle it would save you alot of bother

If you post your bent axles exact diamitor and length, we might be able to find you a replacement in the $30 to $50 range from an online parts supplier. Also include if your rear wheels are secured by threads at the end of the axle or not.

My kart axles bent on both sides a good 1/4" out of straight and I can't tell at 35 mph.

Just get an acety torch and heat it up red hot and smack it with a big effing hammer til its straight enough.

Like Anderkart said, post up some specs and we'll find you a replacement, if you heat it up and bend it back, it will be weak in that spot, and chances are you're not gonna get it perfectly straight anyway. Might get you by for a while, but the right way is to just bite the bullet and replace it.

oh, so its one wheel drive? Can you weld? If not i would get a Big Hammer and try to get it straight. a picture would really help, there may be a simpler solution.
