So tomorrow Ill probably change jets, change to the 12 tooth again and move the spring hole finally I think its finally getting enough power to shift the driven almost all the way to od but not quite so Ill loosen the tension on the spring, but once that head gasket comes in ill swap to that so that it bumps the cr up some especially since im running 93 ittl be good but it gets it right now ill prob try to get another video tomorrow too

It'll only bump it up to 9.1 -9.2:1, but that's more then the 8.6 it comes with, 😆 🤣 😂 😹 and you will feel the difference in the whole rpm range.

There's nothing wrong with running 93 with that CR, stock cam, and 30* of timing.

I don't worry about 93, til it gets up to 10.5:1, depends on how fast the ramp is on the intake side of the cam, (intake valve closing).

Good job, 6 mph gain in the same distance, is hard to get.

Did you see any rpm gain with the rockers???

My buddy is still running the plastic gear cam in his pred 224, we added 1.3 rockers and 22# springs, didn't rev any higher, but the mid range comes on much harder.

No rpm change it was still singing around 57-5800 but the power omg its crazy so much torque, cant break those tires loose yet but she accelerates fast I was going roughly 48-49mph in the areas I usually go 40-44

On my predator I tried 22lb valve springs when pretty much everything else was stock and it shredded that plastic cam gear
His is on a baja warrior mini bike frame, still governored at 5300 rpm. hes only 150#, I think he can ride a tricycle up hill, about 50 mph, 😆 🤣 😂 😹

I think weight, acceleration/deceleration, and high rpm is what kills those plastic geared cams.

I've ran many of those cams in the 196 engines without any problems.

Ok so I swapped to a 130 jet from a 140 and idle 35 from a 40 revved up to 6450 hows the plug look this is about 5 mins of idling and 15 of full throttle the darker one is the old one that was running the 140 but only revved to 590020231012_000108.jpg20231012_000116.jpg20231012_000152.jpg

@aust9002

I finally got this pos back together and going.

It came in and only needed the "carb cleaned", 😆 🤣 😂 😹 😆

I guess that was after the top end rebuild.

A lil over 500 miles and piston, rings, and cylinder wore out.

That's what happens to 7500 rpm engines, that really don't need that kinda rpm to begin with.
