Would i need a bigger sprocket or clutch or both, i like the size of the rear wheels.

SMALLER clutch gear (more difficult)
OR
BIGGER axle gear (easy)
OR
smaller diameter tires (easy as well)

OR a combination of the above

It looks like you have a 54-60 tooth rear sprocket, try a 72 tooth sprocket, or larger if possible.
Remember, the acceleration will be better the more teeth you have on the axle, BUT, you will lose top speed and vice versa.

Also, is your carb opening up the whole way? If your motor isn't turning enough RPM's, the clutch will not engage properly.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the Carb is opening up all the way. But I probably need to take it off and use some carb cleaner.

Ill count the teeth tomorrow and possibly go bigger. I want better acceleration so maybe ill get a little bit smaller rear tires. But the clutch is BARELY engaging at all right now.
I'm thinking about just buying a bigger engine.

It's outback under a tarp so I'll go check tommorow.
It looks like your missing the airfilter and cover, I'd reckon you should get one or make one

Yeah I'm thinking about making a pipe/filter type intake system

alot of these engines look the same. you can't be sure just by seeing it.

Very true

I've just figured out its a 5hp Model 13 Briggs and Stratton but there is a lot of different Model 13 engines

Oh i thought the 13 was for a model 13 B & S. So your positive its the 13 CID then?

I'm positive that 5HP = 13CI = 206cc.

Your motor sure looks like a Briggs 5hp to me.
Remember, there are 1,000's upon 1,000's of these motors. Call it what you will, be it a "Model 13," a Raptor, a Fun Power, a tiller motor, or whatever, a Briggs 5 horse is a Briggs 5 horse.
Unless you have a secondary shaft coming out of the side cover, or some wonky crankshaft (which you don't) 99% of parts that say "Fits 5 HP Briggs," will fit. Pistons, rods, rings, valves, flywheels, lifters, cams, etc. are totally interchangeable.
EXCEPT!!: Fun Power carbs only work with Fun Power gas tanks and vice versa. You can't put a steel piston in an aluminum block.
You could probably score a used tin and recoil for $15-$20 if ya look around.
Long story short, smaller tires or bigger rear gear.

If still unconvinced by above posts, it's easy enough to measure bore and stroke and do the math.
I suggest not running engine without the blower housing for obvious (not yet mentioned) reasons.

hey there. The links you posted are 'old style' you need 'new style' where the recoil is integrated into the shroud.

Like this:

I found one I'll sell you and I also may have a filter with adapter, depending on your carb. Pull your air filter housing and tell me if you have 2 bolt holes, or 1, or something else.

PM me if interested.

Okay I'm interested in buying those from you. Can you upload or send me some pictures of the parts?

My air filter housing is a small square with 2 bolt holes.

Here's the picture of my air filter housing.

EDIT: PM'd
