I do know what you mean, but what's the worst that could happen really ? the invisible dirt would turn to invisible ash and exit through the exhaust on its merry little invisible way.

Even invisible dirt gets trapped in the oil very quickly resulting in liquid sandpaper. You need a filter.

Now Just like somone else said get yourself a oil-able air filter. Would you rather dirt in the oil in your air filter or dirt in your oil? you choose.

lol, I was playing around yesterday. I know that I need an air filter... that's why I was asking if anyone knew where I could get a good one for cheap, and why I haven't taking my kart for a drive yet. I just couldn't resist the whole "invisible dirt" thing. Where can I find an "oilable" air filter ? :rolleyes3:

where can I find a "UNI foam filter" for my Briggs ? All the ones on ebay seem to be for the Animal engine or a Honda...

aren't there some little round brackets that'll adapt them to work ? seems like I run across something like that on ebay... could've been for something else though... how does everyone else do it ?

can you find me a pic of what you're taking about ? the filter thing that I have from the factory is a big rectagle that takes screws... I can't picture what you're talking about...

Carb

I think such a thing exists for clone racing, might want to check that out. a machine shop could build you something. But used stock carbs of the clamp on design are cheap.
