I have a complete 2014 fz09 that my wife says i need to stop riding because i have 4 kids to take care of and being the only provider for my family, i think she might be right.

She didn't say i couldn't have a toy...

I want to build something fun with it but don't know where to start or my options. I don't know how to weld, but have a cheap crappy welding machine at work that i could use if i wanted to. I have just about every other tool imaginable. Just need some ideas.

I can't believe she wants you to sell your bike... That is my relief from nag nag nag. Lol.
You might like mini bikes then. They are a blast. Or get a kart 2 seater and the family can join in the fun.
You can get a few toys from selling the bike. What ever it is that you choose keep us updated.

Oh and I will say that the PoBoy is glad to see you filled out your profile.

Oh and just check your local CRaigslist and purchase a decent ride to see if the bug bites you, before building from scratch.

If you want to learn to weld read a lot and watch a lot of YouTube videos. Also make your very first welding project a welding cart from there you can modify and build carts and many bikes.

Thanks, but i think there might be a misunderstanding. I didn't make myself clear. I want to use the fz09 to build something a Gokart or Buggy.

If it can be done. Im looking for a frame now.

Well that would be awesome. But I hate to see that bike ruined at a novice attempt. If you don't have any or limited welding and fabrication skills, it might be better to start with a smaller scale go kart first - then move up to something that extreme.

Well i was thinking a 2 person go kart, but now i'm leaning towards a dune buggy. am reading that 2 seaters have handling issues because of the weight being offset so not sure i want to do a 2 seater or a 1 seater now. Just found out my neighbor can weld and have found a few frame kits that need to be welded together. This might actually happen!
